Is it inappropriate for a boss to call deceased employees?

A lot of people think it's appropriate for your boss to contact you at home or after hours if there's something urgent at work.

Sometimes, if you leave a job, your former boss might call you a bit after to ask you a question about some lingering item.

Now, what if you recently died -- you were on the wrong end of a back-alley murder/rape or whatever -- and there are some questions about an outstanding assignment? If it were possible for your boss to connect with you, would it be appropriate for him to ask you to finish the assignment up?

If your answer is no, would your answer change if it were a really important assignment that might impact quarterly earnings? Or it was a goal the whole team had been working toward?

--------Saxi, you live in California... Isn't a San Francisco California State Law Maker trying to make it Illegal for a Boss to call an employee outside of work...Just think, if you die in Cali, the law might protect that...
-------- Anyway, There is a way for your boss to bother your Resting In Peace time...He can get an Ouija Board...Light candles in a circle...
-------- I guess , if it would help your workers/team mates...Sure , the company will make money...So will your team mate employees... Depending on the line of work...It could benefit Humanity...You could be remembered as a HERO...If something small and boring, benefiting only your boss to make him look good...Then NO...
... O:) ConfederateSS.out!(The Blue and Silver Rebellion)... O:) ...Let's hope he remembers to say good bye...When using an Ouija Board...If he doesn't...You can haunt and torture him...GOD will look the other way...If you went the other way, Big Red will be laughing... :D ...
