PROTEST!

This is the best contest on CC. Its great to have a chance to go up and down leagues.

Look forward to see the league positions of all the leagues!

It has me hooked. We not asking for any free membership or cups or badges from CC and it runs along with all the other contests.

It is a great way to learn more maps in battle.

Please help Craig out for all the effort he puts in every day & week.

Im looking forward to many more seasons in the future.

We should do whatever we need to in order to keep this going. It's the most fun I've had in CC and the best-run tournament.

I love this tournament, fixtures and all. Thanks Craig!!

I know it takes not BIG efforts from you and any assistant you get. However, CC itself is propably running with thin fuel to say at least. I mean business wise. Our tournament players and other players yearly payments cannot make this business. Hopefully still enough for this site to run in the future.

As I understood the golden years when more players are joining and paying for this site are in the past. Unfortunately it means the developments for the site are not attractable for site keepers.

Would there be some value from this Super league tournament to get new paying customers to CC? That is the propable the main thing that CC could take in to consideration when investing in new site upgrades.

The greatest tournament of all time! And great entertainment from Craig! What more can you ask for? I know - a little and VERY little from CC!

As I see it, the safety of the site are in no danger by letting a tournament leader upload a string with gamers profile name from excel. Easy enough to run a check on incoming data.
I do see it is a big programming job to integrate the updates asked for. I still think that superleague is a good example for CC to use, for expanding.
So I hope CC will see the customer demand as a good thing. I am sure the site will grow (if updated) and give CC a nice profit.
Considering how many ppl. Who have joined the tournament and how many rounds that have been played, surly it must have inspired the management. I hope the breaks are not on, because of pride or hurt feelings.

It is strange that admin will not even give a comment... on this issue.. any issue...

Craig and his team deserve an answer from the management.

Please, Please let superleague countinue! It's really good and fun.

Same old became boring. This format has freshened up the game

Without members paying CC is toast, will die a death

CC without active intervention and innovation will just continue it's slow decline into nothingness. When perfectly reasonable requests are ignored it rankles. That this site where we pay to play has been largely run by unpaid volunteers for years speaks volumes about the attitude of the owner.

OK - so my summary

Craig has a level of innovation where he can have an idea for a league and a tournament that is more functional and fun then the rest of CC can do combined. Like the expression of how a camel is a horse set up committee, Craig as a one man army destroys CC’s bureaucracy.

But I don’t understand with Craig’s demands whether CC can’t or won’t do them. Is it a code that’s too hard or are CC too lazy?

If I had to suggest a compromise it would be as follows.

Set up a code where the home team automatically get the first turn.

This would mean that both players can be invited at once, more than halving the time that takes (as you won’t have to keep reviewing it), home advantage would be greater and it is a code that Big Wham would make that would be more simple than auto invites for the whole tournament

For playuers reading this who haven't already joined the Super League, why not?

Only Kidding.

But to update you. In the absence of CC doing anything to help, or even reponding to 75 Players who agreed that the help we requested from CC to keep a massive tournament going was minimal. A Player actually came up with the solution: Anila8

Below was the update which went to Super League Players:

SBSL: Our Knight in Shitey Armour

Well Troops, Anila8 has actually done it.

He has achieved something which CC said could not be done/probably couldn't be done/probably won't be done to culminating in CC ignoring 75 Players who were mighty pissed that CC wouldn't do anything to improve Tournament functionality. We went from that pile of shite to programming brilliance.............

In words that I understand I will try to describe what he has done. Anila8 using Jedi Like programming skills has sorted the problem. He has programmed his Magic Box to automatically set up 800 Games Per Week, 400 on different specific Maps, invite 800 Away Players and most HOME Players all in about 20 minutes per week. A trully amazing bit of programming prowess. And this is a lesson for all of us, we could all achieve programming Super Stardom if we just played CC less and consumed less internet porn!

Now, for those of you who want a glimmer of Programming brilliance, here is the Anila8 (An) Interview:

So An, What did you actually do?

I designed a Tool to work within a special version of a Google Chrome Browser.

My tool uses the Start Games menu to create the games. For each match up in the schedule, it navigates to the Start Games menu, fills in the game options (Flat Rate, Fog, etc.), specifies the random and invites the away player. After that it repeats that process for the home map of the home player.
The entire process to create about 400 games takes less than 10 minutes.

So, how do the games actually get set up?

My tool uses the Start Games menu to create the games. For each match up in the schedule, it navigates to the Start Games menu, fills in the game options (Flat Rate, Fog, etc.), specifies the random and invites the away player. After that it repeats that process for the home map of the home player.
The entire process to create about 400 games takes less than 10 minutes.

And after the AWAY player has accepted invites, what happens then?

I automated that part as well.
My tool uses the Game Finder to find all games of the specified match week (say M10), which were already accepted by the away player and for which the home player has not been invited yet. Then for each of these games in the game results section, it clicks the invite hyperlink, and invites the home player according to the game schedule.
The invitation process is very fast: it can create about 2 invitations per second.

Trully Amazing. Ofcourse, Anila8 still needs to actually start the process of inviting HOME Players. So, for most future Super League game invites, they will come from Anila8. But StackedAmazon (the lovely Kat) and Me will still be chipping in and inviting HOME Players the OLD SCHOOL Way to optimise the speed of the Invite Process.

And, today's 'LIVE' League Tables and results of all completed Match Ups to date are here:

"Necessity is the mother of invention" - congrats on finding a way, like many of the old CC tools, community designed tools can always help supplement when the sites unable to come through. Excellent work
