For playuers reading this who haven't already joined the Super League, why not?
Only Kidding.
But to update you. In the absence of CC doing anything to help, or even reponding to 75 Players who agreed that the help we requested from CC to keep a massive tournament going was minimal. A Player actually came up with the solution: Anila8
Below was the update which went to Super League Players:
SBSL: Our Knight in Shitey Armour
Well Troops, Anila8 has actually done it.
He has achieved something which CC said could not be done/probably couldn't be done/probably won't be done to culminating in CC ignoring 75 Players who were mighty pissed that CC wouldn't do anything to improve Tournament functionality. We went from that pile of shite to programming brilliance.............
In words that I understand I will try to describe what he has done. Anila8 using Jedi Like programming skills has sorted the problem. He has programmed his Magic Box to automatically set up 800 Games Per Week, 400 on different specific Maps, invite 800 Away Players and most HOME Players all in about 20 minutes per week. A trully amazing bit of programming prowess. And this is a lesson for all of us, we could all achieve programming Super Stardom if we just played CC less and consumed less internet porn!
Now, for those of you who want a glimmer of Programming brilliance, here is the Anila8 (An) Interview:
So An, What did you actually do?
I designed a Tool to work within a special version of a Google Chrome Browser.
My tool uses the Start Games menu to create the games. For each match up in the schedule, it navigates to the Start Games menu, fills in the game options (Flat Rate, Fog, etc.), specifies the random and invites the away player. After that it repeats that process for the home map of the home player.
The entire process to create about 400 games takes less than 10 minutes.
So, how do the games actually get set up?
My tool uses the Start Games menu to create the games. For each match up in the schedule, it navigates to the Start Games menu, fills in the game options (Flat Rate, Fog, etc.), specifies the random and invites the away player. After that it repeats that process for the home map of the home player.
The entire process to create about 400 games takes less than 10 minutes.
And after the AWAY player has accepted invites, what happens then?
I automated that part as well.
My tool uses the Game Finder to find all games of the specified match week (say M10), which were already accepted by the away player and for which the home player has not been invited yet. Then for each of these games in the game results section, it clicks the invite hyperlink, and invites the home player according to the game schedule.
The invitation process is very fast: it can create about 2 invitations per second.
Trully Amazing. Ofcourse, Anila8 still needs to actually start the process of inviting HOME Players. So, for most future Super League game invites, they will come from Anila8. But StackedAmazon (the lovely Kat) and Me will still be chipping in and inviting HOME Players the OLD SCHOOL Way to optimise the speed of the Invite Process.
And, today's 'LIVE' League Tables and results of all completed Match Ups to date are here:
