Farming is where a player actively recruits new recruits or players of a much lower standard eg: Paulatpeace.

Joining new recruit games en masses always used to be referred to as 'Ranching'. But that would have been before your time here :-k

I view farming as the more serious of the two.

Ranching is more of an opportunist 'crime'. Farming involves more intent.
