partnership points

Postby Bull Dog on Thu Dec 14, 2006 4:12 pm

In a double or triple partnership game maybe more points should go to the partner that goes in for the kill and elimantes the opponent. This way if a player is a no show, deadbeat or just doesn't play properly he will be awarded less points

i agree with the deadbeat issue, if you win a doubles with a deadbeat you deserve at least all the points for the game

as far as getting extra points for going for the kill , absurd in my opinion, if you've got a good doubles partnership its as much good play setting your partner up for the kill as it is getting it.

that will abuse players,
look you are winning and your teammate has 1 country left and your opponent too, you kill first your teammate then your opponent and you got more points!

I agree with panicker. Team games require Teamwork.

That would mess everything up. If your enemy has 2 countries left then you may not attack it if the other is surrounded by your ally then after that round the enemy could get a set and destroy everyone.

I agree with the deadbeating part.

No not clever. I regularly fortify my teammate to let them take out other players. I do agree that deadbeats should not receive points but I believe that this may be on the "To do" list. (Don't take my word for it though)

Okay... I just finnished a triples game.. where one of our players never showed up.. and was kicked out for missing turns...we got lucky and won.. the points however were spread out equally between all the players... now this is no fair to the other two players. Not ownly did we have to fight the other team but we had to take out the deadbeat because he was in the way. Just complete luck that we won.
The odds are against you when you have a deadbeat on your team.
