I think some kind of army circles would add to the map and look good

okay, ill work on 2 different maps to go with it, and people can choose if they want:

1. without army circles

2. with army circles

3. with army shields (kinda like AOR but different type for each continent)

With army circles (didnt put all of them on, cause army circles were not as fun to put on as shields :) ):

Without anything:

idk, i couldnt decide what to put there so i put the brown squares in for now, we'll just call them square shields :) of course i might have to resize some of the shields to fit the army numbers in them, but i dont know which ones i will have to resize so im gonna go work on the xml so i can see

Try to watermark some curvy lines in power point or another program and then cover the image with it.

Actually, give me a day and I may be able to help you, but if I do I may want authorship credit.

Just remember you need to copy your whole map in and do the covering watermark in powerpoint or it won't turn out right. If you are using a good program you can add it as a layer instead, but I get the feeling you might not be.

I actually build a lot of Bracket in Power Point 2007 with multiple paint and slides as layers that I cycle through each time I update.

Hey bryguy.

Since you asked, here's what I think is the trouble with this map idea: lack of interest. Sure you've gotten four pages of responses, but 11 of the 15 posts on page three were by you, (three of the other four were Coleman responding to your concerns) and 10 of the 15 posts on page four were by you. And most of pages one and two are about copyright. In all I count seven posts by potential players in four weeks.

This is extremely telling. People aren't excited by this project - perhaps not enough CC users are fans of the series. For me this map will be in the same category as DiscWorld - I don't know what the heck it is, so I don't play it.

You've been around the Foundry long enough to watch some maps die from lack of interest. I've known you to give good feedback, and you've started some good ideas (Monopoly) - I'd rather see you throw your time and energy at a project that is going to be more popular.

Oaktown is probably right, although if you can blow people away with graphics (it could happen) then you can create interest.

I'd say it is up to you, if you fight hard enough for something you can make it happen, but it is going to be an uphill battle in this case.

I read the books as a kid and I'd definitely favor the concept of this map.
