The font background too just looks like a bright light-bulb that I want to switch off.

The glow on the legend is a beautiful touch, but I get the urge to turn the dim knob down on the territory name glow too.

Everything else is different so this may be fine, but we aren't 100% sure.

Once we are we'll let you know. Felt you deserved a heads up as to why you are still in Map Ideas when you seemingly have all the conditions met to get out.

Is it because our World 2.1 map has the same layout as a world map that it can't be made...
I can't just change the shape of europe or america...and I doens't realy looks like it that much anymore I think...

You're probably fine, but lack really doesn't like getting sued so we need to be absolutely sure. Done with the old poll?

where is the difference not clear enough? I thought Indian tribes and America could be distracting, therefore I put those tipi's in the circles

Pixelation is the only problem - and it's really annoying. Fix soon.

Other than that, awesome. Too few countries though, although that could make for an interesting map.

Gnome....the issue of similarity arises from the fact that:
1. the shape of Florida is the same in both your version and Lux's version
2. the inclusion of the Newfoundland area and the attack routes from there are the same
3. the combatants on the europena side are the same on both maps when simply looking in Wiki would tell you that you could have included the

Hessian mercenaries
Iroquois Confederacy
Duchy of Brunswick-Lüneburg

also.

4. the fact that you have the same graphic layout as the Lux map

This all leads me to say to you you have simply copied the lux map and put your own slant on it, rather than take a global map of the area and overlayed your own style on that in a different manner than what the lux map is, and have done some research to make it look different.

Wiki also tells me this information:

Location Eastern North America (present-day United States and Canada), Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Caribbean Sea

changes Britain recognizes independence of the United States, cedes East Florida, West Florida, and Minorca to Spain and Tobago to France

But you haven't included Tobago nor the Mediterranean not the Caribbean.

I beleive you could have done better and can do better and used your own creative abilities to make this map a totally different "event" from what is on Lux site, and i would prefer to see those changes made.

Observation: Florida just ends. It looks like a flacid penis. I suggest you put dead land there.

i think that since ships can move that you should let all ships attack all other ships. though give it a bigger bonus and alow them to only attack certant places but bombard all costal areas. you dont need to use this but i tink it will give it a nice twist. also i still think that you shuld change french america to british florida.

I love the idea of anybody other than America being randomly conquered. Britain invaded France? Oh no!

wikipedia wrote:Great Britain gained control of Florida diplomatically in 1763 through the Peace of Paris (the Castillo de San Marcos surrendered for the first time, having never been taken militarily). Britain tried to develop Florida through the importation of immigrants for labor, including some from Minorca and Greece, but this project ultimately failed. Spain regained Florida after Britain's defeat by the American colonies and the subsequent Treaty of Versailles in 1783. They offered land grants to anyone who settled the colony, and many Americans moved to the state. This Americanization resulted in 1819, by terms of the Adams-Onís Treaty, of Spain ceding Florida to the United States in exchange for the American renunciation of any claims on Texas and $5 million.

you mean the boats and such? Well I take the image and than I change the colour pallet so it looks grayish-whit (it's what you like the best, sometimes I play with those colours a bit...), than I just make it a bit transparent so the background colour comes trough it...that's a bit how I do it, I'll post it in a tutorial if you want...My English in not so good
