Isn't there a lot of actual land beneath all the ice? Does anyone know what it would look like with just the land?

In contrast to popular opinion, I find an Antarctica map a poor idea. It's not a place that lends itself well to a map. Perhaps if there was some sort of theme it would be more interesting... I doubt it though.

Wikipedia says this is Antarctica without its ice shield. I used this image to help create a more accurate view of Antarctica in my Global Warming map.

The main world has plunged into extreme heat and antarctica, which is based at the south pole, is the only land left (the north pole has no land). The brits, norwegians, americans, chileans, and others fight over the last spots.

Adequate?

I don't really like the idea, but pepperonibread's map looks like it could be interesting to play.

Maybe something happened Earth has a different tilt. The other land is very cold, but Antartica (being near the equater) is the only land left.

You did not just say that Antartica is near the equator, did you? Please say you didn't mean that.
