What about a Shopping Center map?

Postby heirware on Mon Dec 31, 2007 9:51 pm

It could be loosely based on the floor plans of an existing shopping center. I think it would be fun.

In retrospect, it sounds kinda similar to that guys Skyscraper! idea.

2 things

1 this should be in the map ideas sticky

2 having 2 maps (like skyscraper and this) would be repidative and not so good.

i dont understand why having a shopping center is similar to the tower. if anything, id think its more similar to something like ccu, where different types of stores would be one continent, such as cell phone kiosks, etc.

but, i think i remember reading an idea like this somewhere before... so maybe search the forums to see if theres anything else you can draw from.

i think its a playable, new map.

only problem i can think of is that with all these new maps, graphics have been a big part, either through effects(feudal war and the never finished trojan war), unique drawing styles (duck and cover/doodle earth), or have unique game features(bombarding, aom series, etc.). what would this map bring to the table in terms of diversity? or maybe we could use a map like this to bring back the classic risk feel that cc originally went for...

The Gameplay is Incredibly Similar because Gameplay

Not because the shape, Look they're doing 2 more Europe maps and they aren't as similar as this would be.

I agree with Tim02

well don't you also feel like ccu has similar gameplay to both skyscraper and shopping center?

besides? who said that games cant have similar gameplay to one another... if the forum thinks its a decent playable map, it should still be developed despite its similarities, right?

When/if a rough draft ever appears it will need to be in the first post of the new topic, I'm tired of this.
Warning: You may be reading a really old topic.
