New Map Idea - The Loony Bin

If anyone can make it spun of of this Idea that would be awesome.

Here is the idea. It would be like a maze or a labyrinth(i will call it a mze for short) with no start or finish because you are stuck inside. the big picture would be a round circle with a circular maze inside. sort off like 8 thoughts with a center but broken up like a maze instead of like a pie. you would be able to come and go from rooms(maze sections) as you see fit. as for continents you could start in the middle and work your way out in rings you could cut it into a pie weather it be 4ths 6ths or 8ths. although I think that with a maze It might be easiest to do the sections in rings cause the maze would be circular. As for the picture you could have the walls of the maze be black and the maze is white like hallways and there could be hospital beds (with people in them and little men and women in lab coats walking around the halls. Ok so if it is circular

the center 2 rings could be worth the most armies with the outer largest rings being worth the least. or vice versa. As for impassable areas I have no Idea. Maybe the worse off you are into a given mental illness that could be where the impassable border would begin or be. In order of hte severity of the symptom.

We could name the rings things like anxiety, depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia, Dementia, Agoraphobia, Anorexia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).

Then the sub topics could be the symptoms of such mental illnesses like, insomnia, panic, night sweats, shaking, voices, memory loss, mania, hysteria, hallucinations, delusions, worry, fear, flashbacks, trembling, muscle aches, fatigue, hart palpitations, dizzy, dry mouth, numbness, faintness, hard to breath, choking, smothering, nightmares.

IF YOUR STILL READING. I think the thing that will make this map cool is the fact that some people with a mental illness can't find a way out of it. hence a maze map with no beginning and no end. I am going to post next some images I found that could be an example of what I am talking about.

i'm not really down with the mental illness theme, but i've been thinking myself about how we could do a maze map.
i've always imagined it being like fog of war, except it is the actual map that you can't see.
you would only see the territories that you hold, and so you would literally be groping around in the dark.
not sure if this is even possible though.

It doesn't really have to be a mental illness theme I agree. But I do also like the idea of a maze or labyrinth I guess the difference between the two is that a maze has a seperate start and finish and a labyrinth you end where you begin. If it were to be a labyrinth I like the idea of having a couple of shortcuts or warp zones.. I especially like the idea of having the maze being black and white the longer you look at it the dizzier you get. Maybe it will encourage people to make there moves faster.

Your idea sounds really cool to. But maybe one or the other would be better. Only a maze or only a fog with a map to where is next you cannot see until you get there. I only suggest that because I am new and cannot handle the complicated games yet...

I like the mental illness theme.

On another note, I tried sketching a labyrinth map to see how it would work out, and it occurred to me it would end up being another Conquer Man. You need something very different to make it work; maybe an objective for getting to the end or something.

like you become sane instead of insane like the game would be. Maybe it could look like a labyrinth but at every other curve it would connect. Like if you look at the second pic that I posted (black background) 1st you could obviosly split that into 4 quadrants. Each head (loops in the corners with the sword) could have 1 way in and one way out and they would be the main topic. then they would connect to the main topics sub topics. then the sub topics would. blah blah blah I am confusing myself like this.

Main Main
Sub----Sub

The main would connect to its sub. And then all or some of the subs would be connected. So you couldn't get to the main unless you were in the sub.

But again I am not familiar enough with the games so if someone else could make it work that would be wonderful....
