the circles on which the army numbers are shown

Postby Pedronicus on Thu Dec 07, 2006 4:07 pm

are the circles part of the map? - or can they be changed so that they are light grey if you're blue / and dark grey if your yellow so we can see more clearly what everyones got without squinting. . . .

I agree. I'm forced to move FireFox / IE to my flatscreen (which has higher contrast) to see which is which. On a regular CRT it's sometimes very hard to read...

If not, what about tool tips?

Yes very good idea.

I find myself changing map size to get a better view of the numbers when the map is changing.

The circles are a part of each map.

You may notice that some maps don't have circles at all, some have all light, some all dark, and some vary.

after zooming in on a screen shot. I noticed that the numbers are surounded by a thin black outline - can the blue numbers be changed so that they have a thin white outline?

Bad idea, what we need is another light colour instead of dark blue. All other colours are light, but then when you are doing a map and use dark circles... "dark blue is difficult to read" #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

I'd settle for tooltips.

FireFox and IE7 both support them, and very useful - just hover over the image and it would say:

"Blue - 92" or "Red - 1"

No sense in really building anything more - unless the maps are going to be redone.

You had to zoom in to see that? Are you blind?

I'm going to make an attempt at re-designing the numbers in the next update.

Hopefully I can find something easy to read so we can add a couple colours for 8 person games 8)
