Just kidding you are welcome, just import me some KinderEier from Germany and smuggle them across the border and I'll accept you.

Sorry, I will not smuggle contraband across the border and jeopardize my good-standing with the US authorities. If you want Kinders come to Canada and eat them.

Nah, that's a misquote. I think you are less native than a descendant of a Jamestown colonist. I'm born and raised in New Hampshire(Yankee) so I've had this discussion many times and yes, I consider myself an expert on this very trivial subject. ;)

Reason #45 why we hate New Englanders.

Not sure that Pennsylvania is considered part of New England. It could be, but most people think New York, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, and what not as New England.

Yes and yes.

No and no. To determine Nativeness, we need to consider the Earth's location in 3-space. Africa on March 18th and Africa on July 6th are thousands of miles away from each other.

Although the solar system itself is also rotating around Galactic Central Point, so really the place you are native to will NEVER EVER be there again. We are all cut off from our homeland, as we float through the galaxy.

Alas, humanity has no roots. There are no natives, and all is lost.

This is my understanding as well.

However, the whole thread and poll is flawed I believe. I think Sym meant citizens of the United States of America only. However, by stating "Americans only", he actually allowed all peoples of North and South America to vote.

I put "No, I am only 1/16"

My great-grandma was the result of rape. So, she was half Native American. However, she was rejected by the Native Americans and the not so Natives alike.
She ended up marrying my great-grandpa who was a grifter and alcoholic. He was descended from the Dutch somewhere along the lines. Fast forward to my parents. My mom was born in Canada, raised in the US. Both of her parents were born and raised in "Northern Ireland" and called themselves British.

I don't think I can come anywhere near being a Native anywhere. I don't belong.

Yeah, in fact I think a lot of New Yorkers might be insulted if you called them New Englanders...

i went to cherokee tennessee once and put a quarter in a machine that made a chicken run out and play a little piano for a couple of kernels of corn. im sure that somehow makes me a native american transplant at least. that and im also from biloxi which is an indian word. id probably guess that the coin operated chicken, duck, and rabbit machines are most likely outlawed by now.

I'm a mid-Atlanticer (or whatever). New England is Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut.

I'm a native of the United States because I was born here. At least, that's what dictionary.com says:

Native - a person born in a specified place or associated with a place by birth, whether subsequently resident there or not.

We may not even by native "earthers" if life came to earth by a meteor as some scientists speculate.

I was aware of that and acknowledge, again, that the poll is flawed, as per the OP. I was interested in how people interpreted the term "Native American".
