Option to change spoils to escalating mid game

Concise description:
Give the option to change a game spoils to escalating mid-game either by:
  • By agreement by all users mid-game,
  • By the game creator, specifying it changes to escalating after x rounds
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
Many no-spoils and flat-rate games risk going on months at a time, often reaching a deadlock where it is unwise to break the deadlock because of its suicidal nature to do so. By having the option to switching a more aggressive spoils, we maintain the spirit of less aggressive spoils for early, mid and even late game, yet offer a quicker end game that doesn't depend on out-waiting the opponent.

Further suggestions:
  • For game creators, add an extra box under Rounds, to have "Switch to escalating on round 100"
  • For mid game consensus, disable feature for the first 20 rounds
  • For mid game consensus, when the first player ticks the box, automate a chat message with instructions and/or link to encourage other players to do the same.
  • For mid game consensus, switch to escalating after one complete round after everyone has ticked the box.

This is going to be a hard sell because we implemented Round Limits to avoid these situations.

I'd support this as well as an option to impose a round limit mid-game. Again, by agreement, if all tick a box marked 'finish game in 10 more rounds' then it could bring the game to a close.
Although round limit prevents the problem, it doesn't cure it if a game develops into an unexpected stalemate.

How many troops would the first set be worth. If the original settings are flat rate and I have a 10 and you start with 4 troops for escalating why would I check the box. I might not want to trade my 10 set if I only have 3 cards.
