Fog Of War

Postby hecter on Sun Nov 11, 2007 1:56 pm

I was wondering if it would be possible to designate an automatically hidden territory that you can't see the armies on it, even if you're bordering it. It would make for some interesting game play, I think. You could still attack the territory, but it would be like going in blind, having no idea what's to come.

Very much agaisnt this.

1. It would serve no real purpose in increasing enjoyment within fog of war.

2. There would be so many bug reports

3. Taking those sorts of chances increases the luck factor.
What do you know about map making, bitch?

it would help with realism, like if you cant see over a hill before you attack or something.

maybe your going to fight up a cliff lol

It's just that with some of these chance maps being produced, it could add a bit more of a twist.

I unfortunately dont see the benefits of such an addition to maps. Its thr sort of thing i see as going unused. Because personally i wouldnt attack something if i couldnt see it.

They won't be produced. Chance maps are a no. Everyone must have an equal opportunity to win in all game types. Hopefully people can accept that and not make us create more official rules, as it has been something both chance map creators have been helping enforce with their comments on other maps.
Warning: You may be reading a really old topic.

Chance maps give people a more equal oportunity to win than regular maps! In other maps, people's skill makes the chances less even!
