Re: POKE's Conquer Map (version Alpha.2.3 - page 4)

You can move this to dead projects. I just can't see how I could possibly make this more un-Pokémon than it already is (apart from the consoles, that could have been solved).

My sincerest gratitude to those who helped and supported me.

Re: Arena for Gladiators [D] (v14)

Congrats on the stamp.

I don't know how to help any further, I'm not really into the technical stuff, but I'll make sure to help wherever I can.
(I don't always have access to internet, so my activity will be low, as it has been the last few weeks already.)

Some graphical remarks:

Re: Arena for Gladiators (v10.- all changes included)

It really works, but perhaps I shoud make them a little transparent, what do you think?, I changed just a little to make them fully red.

Please I need you tell me your REAL impression about this map (v12) I know I have to care a little more about the conexion between lines, and improve the zone ...

Re: Political Opinions On A New Map

I warned this would happen somewhere on one of the first pages. Personally I could care less about how you divide the US, but it was clear some people actually would feel offended and they have every right to.
You either spice up the satire so everything is magnified to the most rotten state you can ...

Re: More Game Types *To-Do*

Agreed - Like already mentioned I'm sure this has been suggested before...

BUT - it doesn't stop it being a fucking awesome idea.

Of course - take it to the next level...
4 player "Doubles" games (i.e. 4 teams with 4 players)
2 player "triples".
2 player "Quads".

Re: Music genres

I think you should keep J-Pop over Latino. Reggae deserves to be included though.

Was your plan to base this map on Classic? Or was this just for a demonstration? Personally, I was imagining something similar to 8 Thoughts. There could also be more complex bonuses, rather than just the normal ...

I made an example of a classic map with music territories:
Note: Indi-pop and J-pop would be replaced by Reggae and Latino

Re: WWW III or post WWW III

As a third resource, you could go with iron or another metal (or more generally "ore"). Countries with lots of them are China, Brazil and Australia.
I also have some difficulties with your list of super powers:
Middle East: I explained in the post above that they hold very little effective power ...

Re: Music genres

For territories I'd say high-30s to 40s, because I think there are enough genres to get that far.

Wikipedia? For more genres.
The current list is around 60 genres.
The problem, as I see it, with a small map (42, as in the classic map) is that you need to tailor the categories quite rudely to ...

Re: Music genres

Where you go Rock > Heavy Metal, you could expand further. This might not be applicable as it could create an 'inbalance' but if you expand on Classical Music and some others it could be pretty good.

Heavy Metal: Death Metal. Black Metal. Grindcore. Symphonic Metal. Emo? This is simply off the ...

Re: Arena for Gladiators (v10.- all changes included)

Pepe, it will work eventually, don't worry. It will be a bit of searching, but that's normal.

I did a second try at the blood drop, so it looks more iconographic. I'm not sure if it will fit more with the map though, but see for yourself.

Start a world powers map:
- US
- Russia (aka "the commies")
- China
- Japan
- Europe
- India

Probably not related to your idea, though I thought I might as well throw it in the ring here.

Re: RADAR ( artist needed )

My idea was to replace your security code territory with several territories:
- the entrance, on the map
- and then the code itself, represented by a key pad next to the map, where some numbers are territories. the last one would then link to the radar.
Gamplay would then be like this: you attack ...

Great map idea.

The graphics would be more complicated than the pentominoes idea, so I don't know if I'm the right person for this.
If I have time, I'll do a demo map. Just to see for myself (and others) if I'm any good at it, though probably not.

Anyway, the code territs is good. You could even ...

Maybe classic music? I think that you would be able to fairly place many music genres into classic gameplay, right?

Re: Election map

The problem where I see it is getting it on a map.
The states to the east are all quite small, so making that clear on a map will be a nightmare. If you then start to divide everything up in smaller territories to make the XML easier, you'll get even more territories (even in the east, as it's ...
