Remarkable much popularity of the Napoleontic map. I like the theme but never really get the map, should play a bit more on it than. Was a very nice year and fun to have an own map in this top (Flanders 1302) I loved for gameplay Nordic, woodboro and Dawn of ages. Graphically i like South America ...
Well, I can try and put a lot of work in it, but to be honest, I worked pretty long on this one (yes, it's still a draft, not a graphically nice map) but I didn't find a way to put it in the right format. I don't think it's possible and I think we first need to think about that before working on ...
DubWarrior wrote:So, long story short. It's to big. How to get it smaller? (don't say: make your lines shorter and the dots larger. Don't work, I tried).
well size will never fit as a base of work you have to use the small map maximum size horizontal 630 pixels and vertical 600 !!! and also with " 333 " armies symbols horizontal 24 pixels and vertical 12 pixels
so you will need to simplify first rotate the camps 45° so they attack the corner ...
A very very nice map. Didn't read the whole topic, just dropping by to say I really like it. Reminds me a bit of those arcade-games from the early nineties. How did you made the graphics?
I just find the legend a bit strange. I think it's not readable in the small version. Also, why is that brown ...
tried something but I have the impression this will be way to large. red lines are one-way lines for the attacking camps Blue lines are one-way lines for the defending fort stables are outside the lines ...
Personally I think one can not judge about a man in a 1v1 game. If you want a nice 1v1 map you should make one with this specific purpose. The +3 is working fine in all games I've done and seen. BUT! I can agree with you on a +4 for Arras, because you will also face this problem (a player taking too ...
While limiting the number of players IS possible, it has only been allowed in very exceptional cases where A: 8 players cannot be supported due to size issues, and B: the concept is something new and original. Feudal War and all of the Age of Realms maps were either made before the 8 player maximum ...
See pag. 19, replies by myself, MrBenn and Pamoa why Brugge and Arras have now a 3 neutral. Brugge has a +2 because this is a historical map about a real conflict, in which Brugge played an important role. Gameplay-wise this has been translated to the +2 auto-deploy for Arras and Brugge.
I'll send it in a PM to you, but you can also try the next thing: right click on this link. Choose save link as. Now save it somewhere on your harddisk. Open the file now from your harddisk. http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/1/27/2739987//DRAFT1.jpg Does this work?
I like it but as menshioned, it's too big to go on with. I suggest you focus on the north of South-America (Columbia, Venezuela, Equador, Brasil, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana). We don't have a map of this region already and it's an interesting region (you could do a drug-war ) I'm also a fan of ...
Changes: -Arras & Brugge: both 3 neutrals (to get them more in the game, in all types and earlier. This is were the scenario is all about.) - Eeklo borders Axel now (giving acces to the north of the map, 4 ambachten and Brabant, and lowering the importance of Lokeren.)
nice draft it seems you abandonned the idea of france background Yes, I didn't find a way to make a detailed attack combined with a larger country.
few comments on the draft first question will there only 1 attack side or more 5 branch star has a better look but you need to adapt to the map size ...
Tnx swampfox. Stay tuned concerning Flanders, I'll add some major improvements soon! Concerning the map. Do you see an image above my last post under the large discription (the map like it is now, in black and white and grey? the downloadlink is the same image!) It also in my first post on top of ...
Back with a draft. I worked out the left side of the map, One camp attacking a central citadel. This is a 5 star fort but I can make it a 4-star too (vauban did it too). I can also bring in more camps. I was thinking on three.
The siege contains mainly 3 battles . -> First, on the left, the camp ...
if you make a straight line going from one circle to the other then a single aligned shot from cannon on the wall can kill and destroy everybody and every thing in the connecting trench without any escape for the ones inside on the contrary and if you watch closely there is no segment of the zig ...
correction, some things starts to irritate me. - What about the neutrals on Arras and Brugge. I see too much games where those important places aren't occupied. Are there too much neutral troops on it? I find the 5 neutrals pretty high too, especially in the beginning of the game. - Lokeren is a ...
I read about the parallel attack system. I suppose this is the way of making trenches as the pictures you posted before (with those zig-zag lines on them). Why are they made in this way? because cannons needed to be moved on the fortress? I see those pictures everywhere but I can't find a simple ...
