Just adding in one of my early doubles game my partner never showed up once. Very annoyingly I'd fortified several armies over to him to do something of use. Eventually I got them back and went on to win.

Recently manged to kill 4 in a 6 player game in one turn (the fifth was already dead). The only reason its worth mentioning was because I had 1 territory who had 3 armies on it when I started the turn. Escalating can be like that.

Agreements in 3 player are very differntly viewed to agreements in 4 player.

If you study the rankings, then you would want to play people higher ranked than you because that is the way you get to learn. When you see what they do, and the tactics they use, it helps your game.

I personally find that turn one and two are trying to get an area, and then slowly expand your areas in places where either you are strong, or everyone else is ignoring to pick up bonus'
