Recently manged to kill 4 in a 6 player game in one turn (the fifth was already dead). The only reason its worth mentioning was because I had 1 territory who had 3 armies on it when I started the turn. Escalating can be like that.

Agreements in 3 player are very differntly viewed to agreements in 4 player.
If you have an agreement in three player, the person not in the agreement is facing two opponents with no respite. This is what happened in the game in question. You did nothing illegal, so you weren't given negative ...

If you study the rankings, then you would want to play people higher ranked than you because that is the way you get to learn. When you see what they do, and the tactics they use, it helps your game.

Personally, I join games for the type of game thats availble when I'm ready to start another game ...

I personally find that turn one and two are trying to get an area, and then slowly expand your areas in places where either you are strong, or everyone else is ignoring to pick up bonus'

It worked pretty well in 165498 which was a 5 player no card game and ended on round 11
