Re: Elements Version V.17 Small Map Updated

Still hoping this map could be advanced to Beta before 2035...

Is the map maker still around? Had a quick look doesn't look like it :(

I just had a quick look on the beta site and this map never made it over there so latest image we have for it looks to be V.14 and would need xml being made for ...

Re: Classic Conquest [Version 3.1]

for this setting, balance appears to be fairly good. player 1 won 15 games (58%) and player 2 won 11 games (42%), while skill is not especially rewarded, as the higher-ranked player won 12 games (46%) and the lower-ranked player won 14 games (54%).

Is that...a good thing, though? If the lower ...

The text has a nice glow on the big map. That helps keep it legible at these small pixel sizes. But considering text is even smaller on the small map, it should definitely have that glow there as well...

309 xml is loaded successfully as live beta! this is the same as the 308 xml, except with +1 auto-deploy for each kingdom.

if all goes well, then this will be the final xml.

To the people saying "yes on the +1", did you actually try it out on multiplayer ?
I don't understand how it can be at the same time "a huge benefit" and on the other hand, "only draw out the inevitable".

That was referring to two different proposals: the first, to the current (on the Beta site ...

With regards to the colors, since the connecting lines are yellow, maybe a different color for that continent that also happens to be yellow, (is that yellow too)? - the ones in China and India.

Connections are lime green, continent is yellow. I will mess around with it when I get a little time ...

Re: [Beta] - Krazy Kingdoms

To be completely honest I don't care for how the map plays but maybe that's because I lose on it. A bigger auto deploy is my suggestion. 1 troop don't help much when you gotta tackle a map of full of neutrals. It should be more like feudal or even city mogul lol
The difference is, in those, the ...

Re: A Large Geographically Neutral Map Proposal

Starting positions would be harder to fix. I'm pretty sure the XML can take a small starting position and then give you multiples of it for less players. So you can make a 12-player start map and then it will assign somebody 2x that for the 6-player map. But there is no way to have a different ...

An idea: instead of coloring the thin outline of territories to indicate their continent (subtle, hard to differentiate for the colorblind), color the landmasses below them.

I used Minister X image for v.15 (on the first page) to update the files I got to v.15. Added clearer entrances and the inset bonus values are now changed to match the latest version. I hope I didn't miss anything. I also just made a new small version of the map.

Re: Ww2 scenario

There are: WWII Western Front, WWII Eastern Front, and WWII Europe, which cover all of the above. There's also WWII Australia, which covers some of the war in the Pacific.

I think part of the problem is that, as the name suggests, it was a truly world war, so the plausible areas that the game board ...

Re: Another XML question!

Sounds like that's a problem with whichever app you're using to generate that XML. It's not a reading problem--as you say, Notepad++ shows the content as gibberish--it's properly reading bad content. The problem is that the XML is not being created properly in the first place.

on the beta site, the KKFinal308 xml has survived five standard, 2-player, auto-placement, sequential, escalating, chained, fog, non-trench mini-tournament games plus various others. no xml faults were evident.
