Ok, about the statement I said at the end of my thread, its the paradox know as the god trap (or maybe I just call it like that). I was only pointing out that using the same kind of flawed logic I can also prove god doesn't exist. I do not have the ultimate answer, I don't know how the universe ...

Well, it is possible for stuff to pop out of nothing in very rare cases, anomalies. As for calling everything you can't understand science fiction, you should open your mind. Also, you might want to take an organic chemistry class if you can't see how it is possible for proteins to evolve into life ...

Although I am a convinced atheist, I don't want to get into a big argument because it usually get me mad and makes me say bad stuff. I just want to point out, regarding the begining of the universe, that it is possible for something to pop out of nothing; as long as an exact opposite is created ...

They were originaly off the country, and that caused even more confusion. You are the first one to complain about this. I don't want to dismiss it because I know it is one graphical weak point of my map, but trust me, the gain you make with the circles is totally lost in confusion in the dense ...

It used to have those circles, but I had to take them out because they were extremely confusing. The problem is that in the southern ontario and southern quebec parts, the "countries" are really small. The circles would overlap or just block the borders. When I took them out I tried to pick colors ...

The map looks great. Since you're almost done with it, I thought I should mention 2 little name mistakes. I don't know if they have been mentionned before, but they are in the last picture, and I didn't see mention of them when I skimmed through the posts. Labrador and Newfoundland are inverted, and ...

I'd like to see more connection out of the warpgate and wormhole systems. The movement between continents is too dependent on them in my opinion, it allows holding almost all continents with 2 points only. Owning them also prevent players to attack each others. Maybe give no extra armies for them?

This is what I think will be the country distribution of the map. Thanks a lot rocksolid, your geographical knowledge is incredible! The map is a bit confusing right now; I'll work on the graphics soon, but for now I have to go. Keep shooting suggestions!

I like the Bermuda triangle idea too! so I'm adding the bermuda triangle, the red sea and the black sea. Now I'm at 45 countries, I'd like either 42 or 48, so if you have ideas for adding 3 countries or taking out 3 it would be great. I don't want to add anything to the north atlantic, cause its ...

About the pointyness comment: yes I know that it looks very pointy, but it is only a first draft. I do not intend to let it look like that. My idea is to make the map look like a treasure map with pirates and stuff.
The wrapping around and various canals will be made clear later on, but at the ...

The Seven Seas [Vacation]

This is a first draft for an Ocean map. The colors and graphics are not final, so please don't tell me they need to be improved . The map obviously wraps around and you can attack through the Panama canal and Bering straight. Please feel free to comment/give suggestions, especially if you know more ...

Woah! getting west germany would be incredibly annoying if at all possible. I think you could go either way including other territories or not, just change the name of the map accordingly. As for rivers, take them out if they're not useful, they'll just be confusing, you don't need to be 100 ...

If you want to make it more interesting, you should consider including laval and the south shore, using the bridges as links. It would make a couple more continents. I also think this map should cover a greater area. My memory is not too good on that war, but is that the time the US tried to invade Canada? If so they went all the way up to Quebec city before dying in a snow storm. So if I'm talking about the right war then there's room for expansion there. Its ...

I never used macromedia freehand, but I use macromedia flash, look in the file menu and look if you have an option to export image. If they work the same it should be there.

I think there are distinctions: there are the genuine spelling mistakes (the kind I do all the time), the abreviation to save time (like using numbers instead of letters), and the people who write weird to look cool (like alterning caps). Genuine spelling mistake don't really bother me, cause I do a ...

Leaving 2 armies is obviously way better, as you have better odds. The problem is that it cost a lot of men. Another problem is that the enemy can still wipe you out in a single blow. The best defence to slow down is haveing 3 on each country. But that costs a LOT. I think the best defense remains ...
