Ok, I dunno why I thought of this while clipping my nails and listening to some Traveling Wilburys but has anyone ever tried to put together a clan all star war?
It would have to be just for fun but maybe we could get a clan achievement and some credits on the line. But you could combine the NBA All Star Draft with the MLB All Star game policy of at least one player per clan. You say, like, I don't know, 15-20 players per team, 2 teams, and war it out.
The idea is a work in progress but if there is interest, maybe we can figure it out. If it's a terrible idea, blame the weed and the supergroup jamming on my speakers.
I've no idea what is the NBA All Star Draft nor the MLB All Star policy.
For those of us who do not follow basket ball and whatever MLB is, would you develop a little bit ?
Also if you only take one player per clan, I'm afraid that beside the selected players and a few CC clan-addicted player, the interest of other people to follow this event will be low.
Basically, in basketball 2 captains are selected (usually 2 of the best in the league) and they draft who they want on their side. From there they play the game. MLB (Baseball) is a little different, there's 2 leagues, which for us we would have to take clans and place them in two leagues (and make it somewhat fair) then the fans vote players in by talent (Well suppose to be talent but usually ends up a popularity contest). Then they play a game from there.

4 teams would be nice and then drafting like you said restricting at 1 or 2 players max from each clan in each team
The MLB All Star game mandates a player from every team, so you'd mandate at least one player from each clan.
Like the NBA, you'd have two "captains". Maybe you would take the MVPs from the two finalists for Cup and make them captains.
Then you'd have to look at the totality of each clan - so put a list of active players together for each clan and have a draft of sorts. Maybe say one player from each clan must be chosen before a second player from a clan can be chosen. Once you have your single player taken from a clan, you then go back and draft from the remaining players. Maybe you cap it at 4 from a single clan? I dunno.
As for poaching, not sure why this would make that any more or less a problem. If someone wants to recruit and take a high caliber player, there is nothing preventing them from doing that now and playing games together?

I have a general thought that the captain would simply be the drafter and team leader. The organizer would then get with each side to create games so we don't have to wait two months for josko or deal with the fallout for being 32 seconds late to Goranz.

However, the biggest position for GoranZ should be bench (from where 32 seconds separates him from the main field) and for xroads last row in the spectators sitting place (plus my hearthy popcorn treat) because he himself claims that going 1-17 head to head vs conqueror is a worthy achievement.

More like 3-4 weeks and 32 seconds, not just 32 seconds... Josko needs 3-4 weeks for things not related to CC
