I only get told if the profile "matches" or not. So basically innocent/guilty.

Okay, lol. I'm less sure about lynching Haggis now... But I did think he was scum for the last couple days... So I don't know. His explanation was valid, but he seems quite scummy at times. I still think he could be scum. Especially when he knew Jace was at the beginning of the day and didn't move for a lynch of him... I still think we should lynch Haggis and I will communicate with my group to have Jace NK'd.

However i don't know the exact mechanics of my role. Maybe I'm just a cop with a flavour, maybe I can only detect as guilty those in the mafia whose leader I'm hunting.(assuming there are more mafia's/ SK's whatever)

Umm, where are you getting this? I postyed very valid reasons for why you shouldn't just reveal yourself as cop immediately, and ga7 and thez, who have been pushing for my lynch, haven't refuted those reasons. So I'm going to guess they stand.

Nope, I don't know the exact mechanics, in a game with complex roles it can be like that, adds to the fun imo. What i know is that if i got someone as guilty then they are guilty. And Jace is guilty.

Basically I'm an FBI agent/profiler, and I'm hunting down the head of the mafia. Each night I can verify somebodies psychological profile and see if it matches with any of our criminal profiles.
The gun belongs to my personal enemy, the guy I've been hunting for 13 years, the head of the mafia. I had some weird backstory about how I recently got very close to catching him in a snare, he managed to escape but left his gun, which I took as a trophy of sorts. This is why i was worried this might happen when you claimed gunsmith.

1. I wanted to see if Commander had gotten another guilty result. He's already a claimed investigator, if he had already gotten another scum, there would be no point in me revealing myself as that would only increase the scums chances of killing an investigative role in the night.
2. Even if Commander didn't catch anyone else, aren't you supposed to try to get a lynch on the person without revealing first? After seeing if Commander had caught anything, and assuming he didn't, I would have made a case against Jace and tried to put pressure on him without actually claiming. Assuming he played as badly as he did today we might have just got him without me being revealed. Only if this second course of action would have failed as well, then i would have claimed.
