Yeah, I guess that I am. But we should already have this map! In fact, we should have a couple Zombie maps. You should prolly start the next one, if there's time! =)

Hey? Where's my 9 hour update??? :lol:

Also, those seperated spots in the middle are still the original buildings, correct?

MarVal is quoted by me after a couple questions of "It will all fit in the end ;) " so i trust the graphical direction it is takeing :)

While you're early on, I would suggest making the map a little bit less symmetrical, especially because of the large number of killer neutrals. As it is, if people get horrible dice and have their sizable attack force disappear into the sea of zombies while another guy with fewer men loses absolutely nothing, people will complain. You've got plenty of space on the map to make more territories and then make them unevenly spaced. You can always adjust neutrals a la AoR to keep things even.

With these early updates i havnt added in the units yet but, my plan was, the zombies in which surrounded the houses (I.E. the ones already on the map) they will be easy kills, like only 1 unit. Still killer neutral but i want it to be VERY easy to make it to that first house. once this has happened it should give players a fair number of units to work with, no?
As for size i have given that though, to perhaps create a second tier to make it though (another square of buildings) but as of right now i havnt put that into practice... but it may come in the future once things are more... figured out :lol:
symetry - I would love to give it more of a asymetrical perspective but i did want to make sure that players had an even chance of getting to the center, and i can tell that luck will have alot to play in this game since its basically a race to the finish.

How to Make a Map Thread wrote:The ideas stamps is required for a map thread to be moved from the ideas forum to the main foundry. To earn this stamp you must meet the following conditions:

1)The map, first and for most, must have some sort of clear plan of how production will go

2) Have a playable image. If we quenched it people should be able toplay on it. Ths should included the following:

* Territory names
* Working legends
* Speculative Bonuses
* Tentative Border Divisions

3) The working image needs to be beyond rough draft state. This means that you must provide the following:

* A working image done in some kind of graphic software. Pencil drawn images and images done on paint will not be accpected.
* Two quality updates must be provided.

4) Have honest and interested discussion. Not just you and three friends.

Here are the requirements for getting out of Ideas, just to keep in mind. As for speed, I don't think it very much depends on what stage you're in, more so how often you make updates and respond to feedback.

I typically don't comment much until there's a solid draft of some variety up. I understand that you've described all the areas and the unique gameplay bits, but commenting on words is much harder than commenting on pictures.

Nat you are a respectable member of the community here so im trying to be nice, but im concern at hte lack of intrest this seems to be gaining. Most of what I read is between you and Juan_Bottom which isn't really sufficient to get this one going. Hopfully once marvel (a very talented artist) gets the image up we'll have something taht will draw people in. Sorry to be a ball buster but I dont want you thinking im ignoring you ;)

I hve intrest for the potential of this idea so I will keep watching. Have any problems or issues drop me a line.

understandable, and i would never see what you say as 'ball-busting' :) its just honesty and its all good, i anxiously await the next map update for some real feeling in it to hopefully get some of the players interested. I get alot of "this has great potential" so i will take that potential and run with it. thank you for keeping an eye on it :)
