Definitely right here. Make the map crisper and more professional looking. The crayon-y look of this map does not do it justice (or any map for that matter). Also, I liked the nice background you had before. I do not see why you added the ocean and land in there. Also, you are gonna need some more impassables, because right now it is just a huge free-for-all in there. Find some more mountains ranges and use them to divvy up the land a little better.

suggestion: incorporate dmz? like add a litle bit of impassability maybe?
lgoasklucyl wrote:The color of China is too bright too sit, but I do feel it needs to stay to avoid making it look like an island. A less saturated color/some minor texture/better defined borders on the other map will help. It's very distracting the color it is now, and as it's a solid defined color almost more-so than the map itself. With improved border work/a cleaner look I can put more input into the color/look of china. Until the map is cleaner though, I cannot accurately comment.

No, those aren't from the XML (though I have all the co-ordinates already). I just took the pic of 88s from mibi, I think it was (ty) and put 'em in.rustlemania wrote:are you drawing in the 88's? Or are you doing the xml early? I don't think you need to worry about the 88's just yet... you don't need to be doing the xml yet. Instead, focus on the graphics.
I'm not very happy with them either, besides you can barely see the DMZ dock route. I've been playing around with brushes but haven't found something good yet…rustlemania wrote:The docks could be much improved...
I'll make it thinner … agreed it looks weird.rustlemania wrote:that small island Ullongdo - the border is too thick, making it look very much out of place - well I'm sure the border is the same width as everywhere else - but because the island is so small it looks strange - so try something there, either make the border thinner, or make the island bigger - see what works.
Agreed. Looks like barbed wire, doesn't it?rustlemania wrote:I'm also not too crazy about the fuzzy underline in the title - which is also the assault routes. There may be a better way to do that.
Main thing I need to change. It's kinda a placeholder at the moment — I still haven't found a good impassable symbol for the DMZ.rustlemania wrote:The grey border in the middle looks a bit sloppy though, you could make it look much smoother. The trick is to make it look like it didn't come from 'paint'.
Will do.rustlemania wrote:The mountains look great - however, I think they would look better if they covered up the borders a bit more - correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that on most maps with mountains, you can't actually see the border underneath them - that would be great here.
Thanks, and thanks for the comment!rustlemania wrote:Stick with it - you're doing great!
Hmmm, really? Irkutsk in the Soviet Union map borders 7 territories …captainwalrus wrote:You should try to avoid 4 way borders since they get confusing You have one above p'yong yang.
