Yes, but hold on I can just go back and transfer the circles from the previous version.Gilligan wrote:isaiah... did you change the army circle placement in that last update of the small map?
Why did you change them? (Not meaning to sound like a complainer)isaiah40 wrote:Yes, but hold on I can just go back and transfer the circles from the previous version.Gilligan wrote:isaiah... did you change the army circle placement in that last update of the small map?

I don't think anyone else has, but I think I will leave it as is for now unless there is a general concensus that it should change.AndyDufresne wrote:Just to mention, I'm sure someone else has, "Assault" is of course official Conquer Club lingo, should you want to use that on your map, in place of "Attack"

Now how did I miss thatWidowMakers wrote:I would move all your abbreviated words a few pixels to the right to keep them off the border of the map.

No problem .44! How's this for the outer glow? As for the circles, I think you can go either way so I'll keep them the way they are so Gillian doesn't have to redo all the co-ordinates AGAIN!the.killing.44 wrote:I still feel bombarded by outer glow. Please don't take this the wrong way, but using outer glow in its default (or near default) settings seems pretty amateurish to me… Using it even sub-50% usually does the job, and a straight white isn't always the way to go. For instance, for the abbreviations you can use a light blue at a decently low opacity. The tert names don't need to have such a huge spread.
Also, I don't think your army circles need to be so big. They're 22px now? 20px is usually good.
Thank you Pork! Please see above response to .44! Put a very faint drop shadow on the capitals, just enough for them to pop up, but not enough for them to jump off the page and slap you in the faceporkenbeans wrote:WOW, nice direction Isaiah. I like the smooth background. Like I said earlier, the texture was just too much. It was cluttering it up. It also looks much nicer that you have lightened it up.
The outer glow on the text needs some work. If you even need it at all now. 44 is right.![]()
What might look good, is if you throw a drop shadow on the stars to give hem a little relief from the flat surface.
Coming along very nicely, I believe that I am starting to really like this map now.
Fixed!WidowMakers wrote:I would move all your abbreviated words a few pixels to the right to keep them off the border of the map.

The stars look perfect.
The text glow is much better, and I think the same thing should be done for the barbed wire, in both color and style.
One small thing, the black needs to be turned down on the arrows bevel setting. They are starting to loose their shape.
Gotta say again, that until now, I was just luke warm on this map. But now, I seem to be warming up to it. I would say one thing. The land area could go just a tad lighter if anything. Whatever you do please don't make it any darker.
Thank you to the both of you!! Pork concerning the legend area, it will stay as it is due to the majority saying to leave it as it is, it doesn't need any more work. The land area was lightened up a bit from what Mr.Benn suggested and then stamped it with that GR stamp, so I'm inclined not to mess with it anymore, lest I make it look worse.the.killing.44 wrote:Wundervoll.

Well you saidthe.killing.44 wrote:Well you didn't have to get rid of the bevel! This must be driving you insane.
So I took the bevel out. I wish someone would make up my mind here!the.killing.44 wrote:If you look in your sig, those ones were much better.
But the ones in your sig do have SOME bevel!isaiah40 wrote:Well you saidthe.killing.44 wrote:Well you didn't have to get rid of the bevel! This must be driving you insane.

YUP, just drop the opacity of the black on the bevel. And maybe the white as well. Then it should fix it.the.killing.44 wrote:But the ones in your sig do have SOME bevel!isaiah40 wrote:Well you saidthe.killing.44 wrote:Well you didn't have to get rid of the bevel! This must be driving you insane.
