As much as I have seen here, games where dice seem to rule the game, that is what happens from time to time in any game of this sort. In fact I played a live strategy game recently where for the first 5 full rounds I couldn't get a roll to save my self.

although I wouldn't mind seeing Conquer club ...

The only and I mean only way for this to work that I see is if and only if this is limited, say you can gain a point by taking an enemy out and can use that point at a future time in the game to get the agressor advantage. or even if it is set up to go into effect when you turn in two sets of cards ...

This is a basic update to the Fog of War setup as personally I think it is too restricting and gives alot less intel than you would have in a real game situation

note: I have had this exact type of conversation over at cardfloppers.org we had argument after argument over things like this only it was more over the randomization techniques used.
