Fog of war?

I`m in a fog of war game (probably my 4th or 5th) when some noob starts announcing the troop build up I have on a border with him to other players. Is this considered fair or would anyone else be as pissed as I am?

I know that diplomacy and alliances are part of the rules, but I feel that a lot of gamers in here would like to start a game where they can be secure in the fact that no one in there game will suggest an alliance. Flag for new game text

Is there anyway you can put a flag next to the "begin turn" button for whenever there is new game text. It would be helpful for those turns you take and attack an opponent only to find after the turn that he was offering a truce, which you gladly would have accepted. Thanks

If you`re so hellbent on this new change, then make this the third option for games. 1). Sequential 2). freestyle and 3). Staggered Sequential
I probably just lost a game because of this new rule (which I was completely oblivious to), which I had a 90% chance to win.
