Re: Can Blue Squares win in a build game????

Thanks for the debate definitely has me thinking. I like the idea of building up E1 a bit to see if, how red changes strategy. (Don't know if they'll read this thread but I don't think it matters too much at this point).

I doubt this game is going to end anytime soon; but with outsiders posting on ...

Re: Can Blue Squares win in a build game????

attack red

1. first the o0ubvious point, that he is the current leadr in gaining armies and thus will eventually be able to overpower both of you.

2. if you go through NA, this does not affect your borders with yellow so you wont have to worry about him.

3. you can easily fortify those non ...

Can Blue Squares win in a build game????

m

As you can tell this is a build game. I hold Blue Squares (Formerly Europe - that's how old this game is ). Throughout the game we've had periods where the attack was pressed but hasn't resulted in permanent change. Red obviously had the army advantage in getting 10 a turn to my 8 and Yellow's 7 ...

Re: Beer League FULL W/ RESERVES PLEASE MOVE

Freestyle games have been deleted (at least the one I'm in) hopefully G-burg Gunner gets the new games set up ASAP. The wait was way too long between Rounds 1 and 2. (Especially excuriating as a freemium player holding 1 slot open for this tourney.)

The crossword map is absolutely horrible. Quick...what's a 5 letter word for "take it off the site forever"?

I actually like the Crossword Map. Like the well-defined borders that sometime vex me on other maps if I accidentally left the map small before I played doesn't bother me on this map ...

Well I suppose it makes some sense. Who knows, your opponent might have a hear attack in that extra 10 hours or so? But I'm freemium and need to free up game slots asap. Then again, I'd probably take my turn even if I was premium because it just isn't that big of a deal.

Same here - Freemium ...

Oh come on, play your turn.

Some of our wives have been told not to have their baby until this game ends.......

Could be - already have my points w/ this being a terminator game - so I'll still probably end up with positive points overall.

World 2.1 - Round 111 - Every Country has ONE!!!!!

Game 336041.

Not something you see too often. And we weren't trying to do this either.

I'll leave it this way for a couple of hours for those that might be interested in this oddity.

And then there was TWO.

I waited for Green to make a strong move on S America. So I responded with taking all of N America. Thought I had N America locked down. 26 each on Greenland and Panama. Yellow in a dying gasp turned in and had 27 to 26 at Iceland and beat me. Then Green plopped his 25 on ...

you have quite a good position there. If I were you I would break yellows bonus in mexico then slowly advance on both of them using the extra armies you are receiving.

That's what I've been trying - but then I can't seem to withstand the counterattacks and Green's subsequent attack to try and ...

Strategy question: How to break a 3-person stalemate?

6-player World 2.1 flat-rate terminator game has been whittled down to a 3 player game. (336041) Now its a game of just trying to keep everyone even since none of us are strong enough to take on the other two. We are all wary of allainces so that's not a solution.

BTW - I'm Blue.

Just looking ...

Yes - there should never be any need for alliances in a 3 player game. Because any player who gets too strong should automatically be the target of the other 2.

Check out Game 336041 for a good example of this. The 3 of us have been going round and round attacking each other for about 40 rounds ...

Hawaii. it's still a part of oceania, so it's vital for that continent bonus. it's a great border spot with easy access to N. Am, Asia, Oceania, AND S. America. people also often don't pay a whole bunch of attention to it. But a ton of armies on hawaii will give enemies across half of the map good ...

OK - that was just this situation - I've had the same card set up in a German game, but w/o owning any of the territories. I guess that would of been a better example for figuring preference.

Owning 2 of a mixed set certainly makes the decision easier.

Flat rate card strategy?

OK - Just wondering what other's would do?

Just defeated a player and acquired his 2 cards - upon ending my turn I have 5 cards.

3 are blue - I own one.
1 is red - which I own.
and 1 green.

Do you turn in the mixed set now and build up cards again or do you turn in 3 blue and hope for ...

Nah - just strategic nuke war - both get obliterated and 1 nuetral army is left on each territory.
