Re: Poll: Sharing Intel in a Fog of War Game

Actually I think Roadwarrior (and the OP) are spot on here.

I don't like to disagree with Greenoaks, but I think giving neg for this is like giving people a neg for using the attack button... it's an intended part of the game. If CC didn't want you to divulge info then they'd have said, or just ...

Re: Poll: Sharing Intel in a Fog of War Game

I did search. The forum seems not to search for three letter words, even if they're in quotes. Seems like most people so far agree with me. Sharing intel is part of the game. Not to mention the great opportunities for misinformation. It creates far greater depth to the game than the "surprises" if ...

Poll: Sharing Intel in a Fog of War Game

I'm currently in an argument with another player over this. I thought I'd see what the general consensus is.

What if you were conquered by a one way border?

FoW filters the logs and only shows you entries where you took the action. Its must simpler to program and is easier on the server than going through adjacencies.

If it is too complicated, that makes perfect sense and would be an acceptable, if not ideal, answer.

However, the idea that it is an intended feature and you should write things down makes absolutely no sense at all. By that logic, why have the game log at all? Why not just write down where ...

Fog of War: No fog on my territories lost

It seems to me that there is a problem with fog of war games. Namely, the "Player attacked ? from ? and conquered it from me" situations. I should know what territories I lost and from where. My guys were there when it happened.

Also, it doesn't keep me from knowing what happened if I do a ...

Ah. I figured someone would have thought of this, but I didn't see that one when I looked/searched.

Suggestion: Game Replay

<Subject>:

* A replay button added to finished games so you can see the action on the map, instead of trying to figure it out from the game log.

<Body>:

* Suggestion Idea:

Whenever I used to play Civilization, after the game I enjoyed watching the ebb and flow of power on the map ...

Just noticed your sig. One of the managers at the company I consult for was going to name his sailboat "Shocker" before deciding on something else. As a tribute to the original name, all of their gear they wear for racing has a pink square with a 2 in it next to a brown circle with ...

Nah, the multis are still in the game. I am beating the hell out of them though.

In a game with someone caught as a multi [Answered]

I'm in a 3 team doubles game. One of the teams got busted as a multi. Since then, everyone has gone deadbeat except for the multis and myself.

Why? Has the game been invalidated some way. Or does it not count for score?

Question about playing with people I know [Answered]

I'd like to play a game against some of my real life friends, family, and coworkers, but don't want to get into trouble as a multi. Will it be ok if I create a private game for us to play in?

One person is both a family member and coworker, so we probably share more than one IP address.
