ok then, i did not know malta was knew, or that montreal got a revamp
Age Of MerchantsI just really dont like the graphix on it, they dont look all that great SpaceHave you SEEN this map? USA Tamriel Hong Kong Mongol Empire Middle Earth Malta to me the grphx look crappy on it Montreal same for this one U.S. Senate USApocalypse Ireland Arctic BeNeLux Battle Of Actium Brazil and Classic (of course) British Isles
woot???
please tell me why the bolded ones need a revamp.
the bolded ones in red were not supposed to be on there
what exactly is wrong with AoM? it realistically represents an old map. look at the burned edges and stuff, the stains and all. yes it's not a bright colored map but then again i doubt pirates had photoshop to meke sparkling colors
malta and montreal are brand new while space looks great.
as for the red bolded parts then why the heck did you add them? you randomly selected maps without looking or what?

and you dont need to be colorblind to see it is all green
where i come from grass is usually in various shades of green just like on the map. if you have red blue or pink grass near your house then please use those colours
but i agree on the castles. they're a bit too schematic for my taste.

Lone.prophet wrote:yeah but an empire isnt all grass and that wall make a mountain instead get a bit of variety in there maybe some grain field or whatever
and i rather wanna see something like this as castle than what there is now even though it doesnt fit the perspective
a castle like that wouldn't work. as you said it's the wrong perspective. why would you struggle creating a realistic landscape if you screw the perspective?

Lone.prophet wrote:but it isnt realistic and it doesnt look realistic
why isn't it realistic? because it doesn't have mountains and grain fields?
it has grassy hills and plains as well as some cliffs and a river. that's a perfectly realistic landscape to me.

Lone.prophet wrote:it doesnt LOOK like grassfield and cliffs it looks like a big green fill with bevel and some close to that color brushes
I think it would be pretty hard to find many other people with that opinion. It's a lot more than just a green bevel: It's got little dots of trees scattered around, some subtle shades of yellow and brown, thin roads everywhere, realistic looking bridges/water, and that really cool smoke coming out of the villages.

check Empire Builder, ive been kinda trying to make it look more realistic, but what does a grain field look like from overhead?

true....
someone should lock this down before it gets out of hand!!!
