Now, I'm no programmer, but if it really came down to it, I'd be willing to learn how and do it, but I'd prefer if someone that actually knows what they're doing did this.

So obvious, I'm sure it's been suggested before. But think about it! 5 islands, five continents. Shikoku and Kyushu are small enough that they could be the Australia. One of them being worth 2, one 3. Hokkaido would be worth 4 or 5 depending on the entrances and "countries". As for the main island Honshu, it could be divided so that its not impossible to get, and it would be the Asia of the group, 7 or even 8 bonus. If that wasn't enough, you could add Russia, China, and Korea. The "countries" could be divided up by key cities. Maybe Mt. Fuji and Mt. Aso could be worth 1, and if you have both its worth 3 and you could get a bonus for holding all or some key cities: Tokyo, Sapporo, Fukuoka, etc.
Now, I'm no programmer, but if it really came down to it, I'd be willing to learn how and do it, but I'd prefer if someone that actually knows what they're doing did this.
