Which is better?

Attack straight away or build up armies...i have only completed one game but watched my skilled opponent closely. I have hastily decided on this stratagy, picking one spot where my armys are most concentrated and leave them alone, then attacking with the rest of my armys that are spread out in hopes of gaining more teritories and armys for next round, then start building up where I chose in the begining. Is this a stupid stratagy?

in a long game its important to build up on strategy spots, attacking with caution to have cards or territories bonus, and to be patient waitting for the right time to attack. Everything with GL
