Whenever there's a disagreement in GD it seems the mods either consider it flaming or decide to exercise their banning ability, the result being a very boring forum.

What I find interesting is the precedent set by the Mods.

It seems presently that starting a flame thread with a direct attack upon a member of this community now carries nothing more than a 24 hour ban.

When I asked for further clarification about this, I got the usual weasel response saying nothing and avoiding the question, why am I not surprised, this is nothing more than further confirmation of the usual shirking of decision making I see so often by the Mods on this site.

From this one can only deduce that creating Flame threads in GD is now de rigeur for anyone who is not concerned about a 24 hour ban!

I was just making a thread about owen, and addressing him on something so he could respond to it and so anyone else could respond to it and talk about him with no flaming. If I wanted to flame him, I would have put it in the flame wars. It's that simple.

So what you are saying is Clapper made an error posting the thread to flame wars. it was she who decided it was a flame.

GD is for all things related to CC. An individual player should not be the name of a thread. Unless it is announcing a promotion etc, because that relates to CC. If you want to discuss Owen, take it to chatterbox or FW. Starting that thread, when everyone who reads the forums knows what you two think of each other, and claiming it wasn't a flame, just insults all of our collective intelligence.
