When I logged into chat from the link today I was logged in as gabbler342 and had the option to change my name! Can anybody tell me why it happened and how I can stop it happening! I could have typed in another players name and nobody would have known. I am not sure I feel comfortable with this so will only be using chat when looking for an rt unless this is resolved. Am I being a bit over sensitive about this? What do other people feel?

It seems like Gabbly launched a new registration system to reserve usernames and it broke the pre-set nickname feature. I reported the bug in their forum.

We'll be replacing gabbly in the Xmas Update. Till then, we'll have to live with it.

Not to long ago I got a PM from someone thanking me for appointing him/her as a multi hunter. I never did. It turned out to be a fake lackattack on Gabbly :!:

I can relate ... I've had 5 of me in there and I got a few people thinking I was some porn star ... I mean, really - look at the avatar. Looking forward to the change though.

That was BGs doing FP and it had nothing to do with impersonation on Gabbly...As far as the Avatar is concerned, I'd definitely think that you were into some fetish stuff. FP = Freaky Pornstar :twisted:

But seriously guys this impersonation thing is out of control, I just tried to get into the Chat and there is already a 'Boredgirl' logged into gabbly( an obvious imposter) who is providing internet sex to all the other gabbers. It's really kind of weird and truly disgusting. It's also tarnishing my angelic reputation O:)

. I now Have people asking me for deeds which really kind of disturb me. :shock:

I guess you could always register with gabbly then you can put up and avatar so people would know it was you.

I've googled "register with gabbly", "Login Gabbly" and I've also looked at the gabbly webpage including the forum and there is no mention of creating a login, or a registration process.

There is a logon tab on gabbly's homepage. It has a little new sticker by it.
