Assassin Deadbeat Question [Answered]

Post by Shatners Bassoon »

Yes,i know there's probably a really obvious answer to this but i don't know what it is.

I just finished an 8 player freestyle assassin game in which a question mark was kicked out for missing too many turns,now he wasn't my target but he must have been somebodies.......

So my question is why didn't that player win?

....and as they didn't win does that mean that somebody was now going to be targeted by 2 people?

Hope that makes sense,i just can't get my head around it :oops:

I don't think I see the actual answer so far.

If someone deadbeats in an assassin game, whoever was going after them gets their target.

So....A is going after B, B is going after C

B deadbeats, A is now going after C

A->B->C to A->C

It works circularly so that everyone always has their own target.

Going on deployment, be back someday.

Sorry for deadbeating out of games.

Actually, I think that's wrong, lozzini. PepperJack gave the right answer: If your target deadbeats, then you have to go after their target.

OK so what if in a 6player assassins game, the first 5 players all deadbeat. Does player 6 win? He never actually assassinated anyone.

Yep. If everyone but you deadbeats, you win by default, regardless of game type.

Yes, it has. Let me attempt to re-explain:

Someone had that question mark as their target; let's call that person "A". That question mark had someone else as their target, we'll call that person "B."

So, before "?" deadbeated, "A" was going for "?" who was going for "B." So "?" deadbeated. You're asking why "A" didn't win. "A" didn't win because it would be unfair for someone to win assassin because of a deadbeat, so the game continues. Instead, "A" gets a new target. "A"s new target is now "B." Because "B" no longer has anyone targeting them.

Get it now?

X-->A-->?-->B-->Y
? deadbeats, so now
X-->A-->B-->Y

Wanted to come in and make it easier to understand..

If your target in a assassin game deadbeats. Then you will get the deadbeats target instead.

So there will be 2 people attacking 1 target?

Someone told that deadbeat's army stays there but if my memo is working right then i will say no to this...In terminator that is true but in assasin games, deadbeat's army turns out to be naturals....
What happens to the player whose target gets deadbeat. Easy the player gets new target which was the target of the deadbeat one. There is not a circumstance to happen in which two player have 1 target. There is a cirle mechanism, and everyone is set to be target to the player who stands at the couter clock wise neighboorhood. If one gets deadbeat, then cirle gets not very affected from it, simply the one who gets deadbeat drops down and your new target becomes the one who stands in the 2nd order neihgboorhood of yourself in the counterclockwise direction...
(counterclockwise or clockwise x no matter which one is)
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any further points which you find them to be still unclear to you :)

Deadbeat happens within 3 consequetive untaken turns, and in most cases a player is unable to kill his opponent in 3 turns...So it is a good idea to be cautious and to keep it in mind that your target might go deadbeat then better dont fully attack to your target in the very first turn. Dont run out your whole power...If he deadbeats before you finish him off, then you will have his target instead him and sadly your new target will be powerfull and wellgrown just because he was the deadbeat's target and because deadbeat didnt take turn and didnt attack to him.... This is a sad and weak point that we all confronted sometimes...Bothers a bit...
