I dunno... how about in the "Start your own game" section each map links to a larger version of itself that pops up in a separate window? I've thought that would be an easier way of doing it.

Eventually something like this is going to have to be created, because eventually not all the maps are going to fit easily on that one page.

Right, a link from the mini image... I agree. And I think that, as the number of maps will grow soon, instead of the radio buttons we should have a droplist to choose the map.

Edit: ... then the mini image of the map you pick loads at the side.

... although a seperate page with all the mini map icons just for display, might be useful still...

you can preview it if you use your gamfinder and select the map you want and then enter one of the games

Looking at maps

Post by Herakilla »

You know when you make a game there are those little thumbnails? Well couldn't those be links to a bigger picture? It's kinda annoying to into the game finder to look at a map.

yeah i find that annoying too. i guess it doesnt apply for me now since i have been on nearly all the maps and i know how they are laid out, but it would be helpful for noobs who dont know what the maps look like.

Viewing maps before playing

Post by OwlLawyer »

I looked, and did not find this anywhere in the forum, but if it is, forgive my bad searching skills.

There are some maps I still have not played, nor seen, and i think there should be an option that one can click on the maps and view them before a game.

Is there a way to do this?

The only way I have seen is to find a game that is in play and then enter it.

Guess what I'm going to say...that's right.

It's been suggested before, and is under 'Rejected: Community & Site',

Oh, this is actually going in with the next batch of improvements

I should update the suggestions box...

EDIT: But I'll be implementing it without out resorting to popups.
