Often DeadBeats join games and then lose them - but I wonder if you could become really well rated by joining the right games and DBing them - i.e. picking your partners in Team games well...

He won the second game we set up.
Anyway, for the subject at hand- it is definitely a shame that someone can come on this site, never play a game because they deadbeat in all of them, and still end up with a ranking well above the 1000 point base. I don't know what should be done about the deadbeating teammate problem, but things are clearly not working smoothly because this complaint comes up all the time.

I heard a great idea the other day for teammate deadbeating - and would make it more enjoyable for everyone. Teammate Deadbeats merely get replaced by their team mate - i.e. the have 2 turns and that way they would get all the points etc... Could be tricky to Code tho!
Also how about if a player deadbeats a game they get "System Feedback" (Negative of course)
Heh. Fun word, that. Anyways, seems to me like giving the abandoned partner the deadbeat's armies, countries, points, AND turn seems like a bit much on the other side. Agree with giving the partner db points (have given a few dbs points they really didn't deserve), or maybe don't take the deadbeats points away, just leave them with the defeated team (would that be impossible to program? my experience in subject = a lib arts major).
I think Lack was going to block team games from noobs until they had at least completed 3 or so games. Deadbeats in standard games are annoying, but nothing like a deadbeat partner. Anyway, that should reduce team deadbeats by at least 90%.

im assuming that will be for public games only, right?
Theres a thread about it somewhere in the Suggestions forum, I don't really remember the specifics but I would also assume it would only be for public games.
