It isn't asking for the file, it is asking for the program to open the file. Use notepad or wordpad.When I hit the edit button it just sends me to my hard drive to look for the file to open.

It doesn't work because Lack changed the wording on the scripts for some reason. BOB reads the scripts and makes choices accordingly. Here's the fix from a previous post of mine:nick11 wrote:just wondering why the "last bonus" doesn't work anymore.

Though I fixed the script locally by replacing'var str_receives = "receives";' with 'var str_receives = "received";'. 1 letter difference, and I can see the last bonusses again.
For everyone wondering how to do this, right mouse click on the monkey in the lower right corner of your screen,
Select "manage user scripts"
Find Conquer Club BOB in the window on the left and at the bottom, select "Edit" box
If you haven't already chosen an editor, do so now (something like wordpad or notepad will do in a pinch).
Find var str_receives = "receives" (use the search function in your editor, we're not 3rd world here) and do as the man says, change "receiveS" with "receiveD", save the file as a .js (just click on the disk icon usually does it) and voila!
Good work sir!![]()
You can turn text map off......its under the 'view options' part of the bob menuphardos wrote:Is there a script fix to get rid of text map ?

The same heart felt thanks from me also.phardos wrote:Last troop bonus script fixed on Bob.

Code: Select all
else if( log[i].has(str_lost) )
{
if (fog)
{
playersArray[name]._calculatedCountries--;
}
}No - you need to log the loss of a territory - the wording change would need to be applied to this portion of the script too.Yokipi wrote:Finally. =D Thanks to whoever posted the fix to the Last Bonus issue.
Anyway, I was "inspired" to try and fix the negative territories issue as well.
Well, I'm a complete programming newbie, but I was looking through the code anyway and found this code segment:I didn't understand the point of this... The word "lost" (what str_lost is set to) only appears when it shows how many points a player loses, and that really has nothing to do with territories. So why would that count as losing a territory? I believe the change of wording from "loses" to "lost" threw this off. But since "lost" isn't used anywhere else anyway, I commented "playersArray[name]._calculatedCountries--;" out. =D Seemingly works just fine for me now.Code: Select all
else if( log[i].has(str_lost) ) { if (fog) { playersArray[name]._calculatedCountries--; } }
Think this is a plausible fix?

This worked perfectly for me too. Thanks guys.phardos wrote:Last troop bonus script fixed on Bob.

Here it is as they told me

The 'last bonus' fix proposed above (the whole receives vs. received thing) is a really really easy fix to make. I'm a retard when it comes to stuff like that, and I managed to make it work. So I would encourage you to give it a whirl.azezzo wrote:not to seam unappreciative, but bob has been messed up for over a week now, there have been suggested fixes posted by various people, which i believe are too complicated for me, is a new version of bob going to be released soon to remedy these bob bugs.
I have an oceana game going and i cant wait to lose because i have to turn bob off to take my turns
in my city mogul games it does not keep track of last bonuses or territories properly
i am having withdrawal symptoms from not using bob fully, and am not creating any new games until a remedy is available.
