Since it took a month to get enough players for the last one (I recognize some people don't like flat rate-foggy, but it's my preference) I thought I'd get a jump start on Initech III. The second edition is nearing the semis and the first edition is slowly creeping toward the same stage (one game really held us up!). So, though I don't expect this to start for a bit, I present "Initech III: North America Mixed." All pertinent details follow.
OVERVIEW 2-round, 72-game tournament. All players guaranteed twelve games. Max games for an individual player is 24. All games will be 5-player games.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS Premium only, sorry. You'll need more than 4 games open at all times.
RULES All games will be Sequential, Chained, Flat Rate, Foggy 1/3 of games will be Standard, 1/3 Terminator and 1/3 Assassin. See MAPS section below for details.
MAPS There will be twelve (12) North American maps used. The game types for each map are as follows: Assassin: American Civil War, Greenland, Puget Sound, Texan Wars Standard: Canada, Charleston, Great Lakes, NYC Terminator: Caribbean Islands, Montreal, North America, San Francisco
POINT SYSTEM Each Assassin map win will be worth 10 points. Each Standard map win will be worth 15 points. Each Terminator map win will be worth 5 points, with each elimination (including the final one) being worth 2 points.
ROUNDS Round 1 will consist of five 5-player groups, for a total of 25 players. Each group will play 12 games, on the 12 maps on the settings listed above (4 standard, 4 assassin, 4 terminator). Only the group winner advances to the Finals.
The Final Group will consist of 5 players and the same maps with the same settings will be repeated. The player with the most points after the 12 games conclude will be the tournament champion.
SEEDINGS Once I have 25 entrants, I will divide everyone into five pots by points/rank. One person from each pot will randomly go into each first round group.
TIEBREAKERS Tiebreakers for first round will be as follows: 1) most standard map wins, 2) most terminator eliminations, 3) head-to-head standard game on Greenland map using tournament settings.
Tiebreakers for the final round will be as follows: 1) most points in the first round, 2) most standard map wins in final round, 3) most terminator eliminations in final round, 4) most standard map wins in the tournament, 5) most terminator eliminations in the tournament, 6) head-to-head standard game on Greenland map using tournament settings.
Good luck to those that join and feel free to post or PM any questions you might have.
The data for ALL of my tournaments has potentially been lost. I am working to recover it but as I am away on business all of this week, there will be some delay. Sincere apologies.

Yeah, I wasn't sure whether or not to make the assassin games the exception and make them sunny or not. Opted to go for consistency this time around. We'll see how it goes, like you said. If it's particularly bad, future editions will be sunny for any assassin games.
