spamming troll, is everyone else to gutless to comment, is the community going to leave this thread to a silly little mouth breather that is only thinking about his next meal? Gosh, I don't know what could have went wrong. One would think your thread would be irresistable as a place for some friendly discussion where people would happily share their deepest intamacies regarding their beliefs that can't be proven.BoganGod wrote:Howl all you want lame brains. Just because you can not know something with certainty, throwing your hands up and saying you don't know is hardly logical. I am agnostic about god(s) the same way I'm agnostic about wizards. While they could exist, I see no evidence to indicate that is a valid possibility and don't believe in them. This may seem offensive, but that is just how I came to my conclusion.BoganGod wrote:spamming troll, is everyone else to gutless to comment, is the community going to leave this thread to a silly little mouth breather that is only thinking about his next meal? J. K. Rowling raped me when I was little.2dimes wrote:What is it that causes you to doubt the existance of wizards?
Sorry to split hairs here, I'm not saying I can't know, I'm saying when I know beyond all doubt I will make a decision. I hold onto the forlorn hope that proof may emerge in my lifetime........Frigidus wrote:Just because you can not know something with certainty, throwing your hands up and saying you don't know is hardly logical. must have been in mouth breathing troll mode when I wrote the first question.
What I'm meaning to get at is that I suspect it's not the wizards you are having difficulty in believing in so much as the concept of their portrail in movies. I don't see a reason to doubt there has been wizards but I understand and agree with your doubts of their abilities to fly and change forms etc.
So you are also not making any decisions on each and every supernatural claim then, right?BoganGod wrote:Sorry to split hairs here, I'm not saying I can't know, I'm saying when I know beyond all doubt I will make a decision. I'd have more respect for you if you were an atheist. At least then you'd be making up your mind, rather than wallowing in an incompetent state of indecision.BoganGod wrote:A lot of religious debate with both the athiests and the christians pushing their points of views. Seems to me that a lot of people are thinking with their emotions. The logical choice for those with an IQ anything above a drug dependant gerbil is been an agnostic.
There is no proof of the existance of a god/gods, there is no proof of the non existance of a god/gods. Therefor I will keep an open mind. People like to be sheep and share common irrational belief with others that is why the choose god or no god. QED believers are mindless sheep.

I don't have a problem believing a certain amount of magic is possible but yeah most of it I'm pretty certain is confined to imagination, art and illusion.Frigidus wrote:2dimes wrote:What I'm meaning to get at is that I suspect it's not the wizards you are having difficulty in believing in so much as the concept of their portrail in movies. I see no reason to believe in magic of any form. It is highly improbable.
That is the answer to the question.King_Herpes wrote:why do you grief about sharing or discussing your beliefs with people on the internet? It's not exactly a meaningful conversation with persons whom you can't even look eye to eye. Half the time people are just fucking around and would rather verbally spit in your face and laugh.
I must admit, this did make me laugh out loud.OnlyAmbrose wrote:In the wise words of Vox Day:

I'm assuming all the insults is just to try to stir up people to answer. If you leave that out, your statement is fair enough. The one problem with it, it seems to me, is the underlying assumption that facts and logic are the only way to "know" something.BoganGod wrote:A lot of religious debate with both the athiests and the christians pushing their points of views.
