If the roll is going against you, why persist so that you lose all your armies? For that roll the algorithim is against you (or however you spell it) so why carry on? Sometimes you have to stop, and wait till you get better odds.
I know it can be frustrating if you have played a lot of rounds in the game, that is the way it is.
If you are not enjoying the game, then it is fair enough to quit or at least take a break for a month and don't play so many games in a go.

I like to pretend I know what I'm talking about too.
iambligh wrote:Just for the record, auto-attack uses the same system as if you had rolled each time individually; I thought that was common knowledge.
I dont know how true that statement is. I say because if you have 50 on 30 and you keep clicking assault, the game reloads a new sequence a few times and when you hit auto attack it pauses and then BAM the results. If it is truly random the statement contradicts itself also.. Cheer up Bud we have all been there and i understand your pain. Its CC way of shaving points , which is against the rules if we do it intentionally..
iambligh wrote:Just for the record, auto-attack uses the same system as if you had rolled each time individually; I thought that was common knowledge. Yeah, my words were written in haste, but I've been waiting for my current games/tourneys to wrap up for about a month now.
Lol, Kotaro, you're still trying and your rank is as low as mine since I've given up! You might want to think about hanging it up, too!
Technically there is a file with a list of a million rolls or something. When you click Assault it pulls the next roll. Now, others are also pulling rolls too, so if you pull roll 75 then someone else pulls roll 76 and you click Assault again it pulls roll 77. If you click auto-assault, chances are you will pull row 75,76,77 at the same time, so nobody can get one in-between.
Lack mentioned that he might go through and reorganize it so their aren't so many losing streaks, so if this is the case then rolling auto-assault might actually be better, because it "shouldn't" be a losing streak, however with rolling assault you may take the bad roll, then someone take the good, then you take the bad...
As far as I'm concerned, if Lack does that, he's ruining the game. NOT because I like it being streaky, but because I think it MUST remain random.
Woodruff, there's no other way to do it. The lists are generated randomly and then the numbers are used up in order. If there were no lists of numbers, there would be no numbers to assign to the dice when they are rolled. Making a computer (something that only does what you tell it to do) do something random, (something you didn't tell it to do) is not easy. So the site buys these random lists of numbers off of a site that specializes in this sort of thing. I believe that when you roll, say 3 dice vs 2 dice, the next 5 numbers on this lest are assigned to those 5 dice. This is as random as it gets, you can't make things "more random".

Either you or I are misunderstanding the point I was responding to. According to 4myGod, it appeared he was saying that Lack has mentioned going through the "purchased list" and reorganizing it so that there aren't as many losing streaks. As far as I'm concerned, that would ruin the site as things would no longer be random...they would be "reorganized to his whim".
...I prefer a man who will burn the flag and then wrap himself in the Constitution to a man who will burn the Constitution and then wrap himself in the flag.
I fell asleep with the TV on. When I woke up, some cartoon about kids going to Dragonland was on...Dragonland may be the actual title.
So, they went to dragonland, and started playing a game.
The little girl lost, and she said, "I hate this game. Its stupid. Im never playing again."
She warped back to her bedroom.
She got bored, so she warped back.
In the end, she realized, that the fun was in playing the game, not necessarily in winning the game.
I wasnt sure why I watched it, but now I know it was so I could help people like you, who have forgotten what gaming is all about.
Trite but true, I lol'd, the wheel never stops turning iambligh, how boring would it be if you won all the time eh? Half the fun is dragging yourself out of a dice rut to win...
tamcardiff wrote:Timminiz and you do know what you are talking about then, I take it?
There are many cheap sarcastic arses on CC.
Flames, no matter how lame, are not tolerated here at CC.
Anyway, I may not always know what I'm talking about, but at least I know enough to know that there is no algorithm deciding whether or not you get good dice. It is apparent that you have little to no idea how the dice here work, yet that didn't stop you from trying to pretend you did. In the future, you might want to do some basic research into a topic before spouting off about it. I wouldn't want you to continue making yourself look foolish.
Relief. When I seen the General Discussion thing that said last post F*ck I quit this game by Timminz i thought Timminz was quiting. If the dice don't always roll your way moh well. You have a better rank than me.
I had a similar losing streak here on cc. It got me pretty worked up, so I took a break for a month or two. I came back, and the cool down period really helped me a lot, and I am now use to the ups and downs of the site. You can't win all the time, and somebody is going to have to fail big if you want to win big go ahead and take a break, but don't quit alltogether
Woop Woop, i love conquer club, why'd i leave for a year? Who LIkes finishing what they started?

Exactly. If you care too much about your rank and winning, the game is no fun and extremely frustrating when you get screwed. The game invovles copious amounts of luck with random deploys and dice. It sucks when you have had an obviously superior strategy, but that's why the game invovles RISK

Oh btw, its called dragon tales. In the game they were supposed to stop when one of the dragons stopped signing. Emmy sucked at it, and so she whined like a little girl. Which was appropriate because she was a little girl. The moral of the story, only little girls should whine like little girls.

But in my case the dice rut's will last the entire game...
