In the second case, I can at least glean an idea of what he means.
But in the first one? What's he saying? TV adverts used to be better?Get home by bedtime?Sports stars used to drink cola? He prefers black and white TV?What?

I think maybe he's sad that adverts aren't as good as they used to be.

I think the dude is seriously high on something. Something that makes you really emotional and energetic. Maybe ecstasy?

Wouldn't that be a great twist to the whole biography of Beck? You know, Rush had his hydrocodone, Billy Mays his Bolivian blow, and Glenn beck does a shit load of MDMA, then really ends up crying cause Mean Joe Green had a touching Coca-Cola moment. Or maybe it's amphetamines. Those make people cry too, right?

Beck has to have a substance of choice to abuse or a vice of some kind, Let's figure out what it is.
