I like the idea but I think there are way too many territories. Plus the fleet idea is good but since they are so close together once someone gets 3 or more they have a real easy time getting the rest. Plus I don't get the idea of the cities. Maybe if you just made the map with 60 or less territories and then looked at it again. I do like the idea though.

well you see the thing is i want another map like 2.0
with LOTS of territories so it takes more than 10 rounds to finish or the winner is set in stone :o

but thanks for the ideas ill work on making a few less areas in my update if everyoen else thinks so

I have to agree just to many territories. This would always have to be a large game like 6 or more people for it to be fun.

I like the idea, but agree that the number of territories make the map too daunting...

I think it's a cool map to pursue. I do agree there are way to many territories but some of the territories could be consolidated. And the fleet penalty seems a little harsh. Also I do not like the extra mountains you added... there are certainly no mountains in Illinois/Indiana. Something more like the original map might be best... :-P

I think a North/South (blue/grey) division might be a cool thing with a large bonus for holding either half that is comprised of a few country bonuses.

I'm not familiar with how Lux works, but I would assume the original creator of the map would hand over copyright to Lux.

I love the idea. Keep the # of territories, make the pic bigger, North / South bonus... Yeah I'm a fan of 2.0 myself and would love to play a huge 6 player game on this map when finished. keep up the good work

I like the number of territories, makes it a bigger war. And, as the bloddiest Amercian war, it was huge. I'd suggest a bonus for the North and South, and making it so you only lose armies when you hold no fleets, not when you hold less than two. Plus, you need different mountains. And might I just ask why Florida and other Southern states are blue, while Pennsylvania and other Northern states are grey?

i REALLY love the style you've got going on; the textures of the territories and the pebbly mountains.

the playability looks interesting so far, in terms of uncrossable borders

i support this map

Maybe my Geographic Knowledge of the 19th Century is lacking, but I could have sworn that Long Island existed then, so what's up with it missing?

I like the idea, and that includes the part about it being a big map. Lots of territores is good. I was wondering, however, why it seems like the Southern states consist of more territories than the Northern states? The concept of a big additional bonus if you can unite either the North or the South is good. I'm not clear on how cities work - clarify the instructions? That'll do for a start.

Some things happend and so i had to draw the map over by hand, which is why it looks sketchy...

this way there isnt any copyrights though As all i did was look at my giant atlas and draw every inch by guess and compare.

but yeah clearer labels will be next ;)

and a new background too

Err... not too great now to be honest.

Get rid of the massive bevel, the thick borders, the whole bubble thing... Forget about impassables, rivers and bridges for the moment and just get a simple map with thin borders and continent colours which aren't so bright.
