Dako's script is great and still requires just enough effort on behalf of a teammate (install, remember to hit "show spoils") that it is already sufficient.

Could you leave the user to decide whether they want the default to show the player's cards or not? This way, everyone is happy. Just click the option you want.
As for the poll - I didn't vote because: i like where my spoils are. I'd like to see my teammates spoils next to their names. Basically - my view of share spoils is done in my script.
PS - it is nice to see your tool being incorporated into the site but I will miss my plugin and the small piece of fame =(.
With a FF add-on, i can share my spoils with my teammates, but they dont necessarily share them with me, i would think in a real battle, allies can see what each is doing

Dako's script (I think that's the one I'm using) displays team cards like this: What would be really nice would be if each card had a "mouseover" tooltip that told you which territory it was, and allowed BOB etc. to identifiy which terr the card was for.
Thanks for sharing this screenshot... Dako made a nice little script indeed! I am going to install and play around with it...

Dako, can you send me the link to that script. I'd like to use it, if that's cool.
I really like what you've done with moving the spoils down into the stats table. I play on a relatively small screen and the closer the action keys are to the map, the better. I also agree with your reasoning about putting the next set value at the bottom of the table.
I've never played a team game, so I can't really comment on whether a teammate's spoils should be shown or hidden by default. I voted for not hiding any, but I would also be fine with just your own being displayed by default. To an individual player, like myself, that would be most similar to what we currently have (but with, in my opinion, location improvements!).
I like it ! I have been typing out my spoils for my teammates FOREVER ! As long as you keep Teammate Spoils for Team eyes only , I don't care how it appears on my monitor screen !
Love this suggestion and layout. I am in favor of the teammate spoils displaying by default...that way someone would end up writing a script to allow the user to toggle it off if they choose to do so.
Seriously, there is a script that does a great job of this now. I would rather see work done so that forum banned people can see their PM's, wall, etc.
1. It's a Global Announcement so it shows up in all forums.
2. Lack has stated in the past that it makes more sense to code features that affect a large percentage of the people on the site rather than very limited features. Especially when those features are for people who break the rules.
On-topic, I think the layout is decent, and I do like the prospect of having the buttons a bit closer to the map (although I use clickies most of the time). There are some valid concerns regarding those who hide the site-provided stats in favor of the BOB stats, but I'm not sure how to address it.
i would be really frustrated at having to click on something to see my spoils. i access CC from my blackberry frequently, and the 3G network is slow as it is.
98.5% awesome though, i love the idea of being able to see teammate spoils

Depends on what metric you use... The coolest is squishyg
Firstly may I applaud you for taking the initiative to introduce a feature such as this and implement it on a site-wide basis. I've never been in favour of 3rd party scripts as I feel they have, to a large extent, given an unfair advantage in what should essentially be a game played on a level field (BOB, clickies, to name but two). Call me old-fashioned (my PC is!) but I always favoured the method of communicating spoils via teamchat - that's what teamwork is all about - and anyone in TOFU would immediately know what a ****** prefix represented in chat and would develop a habit of posting spoils. We all still do it. Then Dako (love him as I do) came along with his darn script and effectively neutered the advantage TOFU had developed via its efficient system of communication.
So....in summary, I'm definitely in favour of it so that everyone on CC has the same tools at hand. I think the layout and location are perfect, and I voted for 'show mine, hide team mates by default' as less than 50% of my moves are dependent on the cards my team mates hold (and it won't send the chat line too far away from the map). I wish chat was just below the map to be honest. How many times do players chat in real time with a team mate and have to keep scrolling back to the map to look at numbers & locations (esp in speed games). It's a lot for me and is a real nuisance. The info re cards etc is a reference that only needs to be looked at when opening the page, but the chat is a live feature that should logically be in closer proximity to the map which is also live during play. Hope this can be considered if and when you implement the new 'share cards' feature.
Thank you.

I agree with this 100%. I love the fact that I can see my spoils easily and without scrolling. Moving them down to a place that I almost never check would be really bad.

I like the idea of being able to see my teammates spoils, but my own spoils should stay where they are. It's much easier to see at the spot they are now.
I really want the spoils to be close to the map so I can see all of the map while using map inspect (BOB) to hover over the spoils and see where they are on the map. I have a small laptop (12") and if the spoils are far down on the side I can't do a quick check on where they are on the map. This saves me a lot of time as I don't know where all regions are on a map by default, especially the ones with letter codes (Example: Hive) and the ones with geography I don't know (example: Hong Kong)- I like everything that helps me do things faster. I also likes the fact that we should know everyones spoils, but please don't mess too much with the layout.
MrBenn, Eyestone and Slaylark have made clearer what must have been in the back of my mind when I suggested keeping the spoils where they are. I do like to use Map Inspect-style highlighting, and this will be difficult for Team 2 in a 4 v 4 game if all their spoils are a long way down the page.
