taking turns when your partner is eliminated

Post by txorittikia »

In my opinion it is very unfair in team games that once your team mate is eliminated your opponents can take turns one after another. when your alone against 2 or 5 it is already very hard to go ahead, so I think it would be better that one opponent takes his turn , then me , then the other opponent and then me again, otherwise it is almost impossible to win a game once you lost zour team mate !

Actually, its the smartest answer out there. They took the trouble to eliminate your teammate, and they get the benifits for doing so.

Why should your opponent be penalized for your team mate getting eliminated?

you don`t wanna see do you ? first of all it is bullshit that your opponents would be penalized if you can take your turn each time they took one , it`s just fair and how every normal game works , one turn them , one turn we....and then you forget that sometimes you are punished with some deadbeat recruit , you are already penalized a lot , and your opponents did not made any effort to kill him ...

I play many team games but I have been around long enough where I have reliable partners.

How is your opponent not being penalized? Your team mate is eliminated but you would get the same amount of reinforcements on your turns? So why should they try to kill the other team?

First this is based on Risk, a war game. In paint ball matches you start out with the same amount of players. When a player is eliminated from one team does someone on that team get to use an extra gun?

No I didn't forget about deadbeats, that happens but you do get his countries and men. That could be an advantage to you if you get a continent.

I think you made a mistake here, first you said your partner was eliminated now you say they didn't make an effort to kill him.

Maybe not every time they have a turn you get one, but maybe have a random chance of like 20% of getting an extra turn each time or something like that.

Imagine this...

You are in a room... you have a big table with 6 people sitting around it...

You divide yourselves into 2 teams and sit interspersed around the table...

One of you takes a turn...

The person to his left takes a turn...

and so -on...

Later (much later)

One person is eliminated...

Now there's a gap in the seating...

Let's all play musical chairs.

This would cause a problem... what would stop you from taking out your own team mate, especially one who has a weak position, just to get yourself a turn bonus?

Maybe if your teamate deadbeats you get to play as both yourself and your deadbeat partner because then you don't get the disadvantage of only having 1 persons income when you should be getting 2
