As we all know some of our games can turn out to be marathons!
I believe at the moment the points you lose are related to your rank when the game finishes.
My problem is what if you started the game when you were, for example, a sergeant. You went out early and the game progresses another 8 weeks!!
By the time it ends your a major. Should you lose points as if you were a major or should you lose points as if you were a sergeant as you were when the game finished.
It would seem fair for the points to be deducted according to your skill and rank when the game finished.
Who agrees??
Again, correct me if im wrong on this one chaps! but i think i got it right?
"There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word, which means more to me than any other. That word is ENGLAND."
If I were a low ranked player, I could lose a bunch of games to get my rating down. Then, I could high up for as many games as possible to get it up and get the bonus from the low ranking at the games' beginiing.
I think you've misunderstood the proposal, pilate. The suggestion isn't to base the points change on your score from when you enetered the game. It's to base it on the score you have whenever you leave it.
ok the original suggestion was to base the point sharing on everyone's exit time, but why not also consider the possibilty that the
points are shared based on the ranks at the time of game start ? Because with THAT you could know how much points you're betting in the game.
However, please remember that the winner's points is the sum of the losers' points. If someone loses less with a changed system, the winner get less points too - so it may be your disadvantage if you happen to win the game.
Also, with current system, if you are going down and loose, you loose less. Isn't that something to keep unchanged? (changing the system is your disadvantage in that case).
