I always want to know how many cards some-one has. In a Risk game it's important to know. I hope you all agree. I scroll up and down to count the cards people got. It should be more easy to see that info. My idea for lack-attack is, to build in a counter behind the player's name which shows how many cards a player has.
But in real board game of risk you can see there cards. (Not whats on them, but how many they have) However, MBK, you said you have to scroll up to see the cards. Yes that can be a hassle and an irratation but there are more pressing matters to be fixed. But it is still a good suggestion
That's what I said and that IS the problem. It's not easy to scroll the whole log and count all of the cards from everyone. And besides that, you need to check all the card that have been cashed in... It shouldn't be difficult to build in a counter so we all could easily see the number of cards people have.
like xMBXx, I have also spent many moments cointing how many cards people have, so If I am going to figure out how many paper-thingys people have, should'nt it be easier
I don't think it should post how many cards a person has. if you want to know look through the logs or keep track of it to begin with.
When I play real games I don't leave all my cards sitting on the table for people to count how many I have I try to keep it a secret.
It sure would be great if one could see quickly and easily how many cards each person is holding without having to go thru the history and counting. I offered this suggestion before...but thought I'd bring it back up.

I think it would be very helpful if we could see how many cards each player has during any point of the game. In escalating games especially the cards play a huge role in strategy...possibly the biggest role...and it is a pain to have to go through the game log and figure out how many cards each player has. Anyway, I think this would be really helpful and probably not hard to add. There could just be a number displayed next to each users name in the list to let you know how many cards everyone has.
It's going to take me a bit to get familiar with this site and the main contributors but you guys all seem great. Thanks for the help!
I have a question though about why these updates are installed through a seperate download...I guess Troy worked independently from CC to create the update? But it seems like it would be much easier if his programming could be incorporated into the existing CC program because then everyone could have the updated tools without downloading anything else. I'm sure you have all thought of that, so I'm sorry if its a dumb question. In any case, this seems like a great tool so I can't wait to try it out.
and when that update goes live.... things are going to be very fair & very tight...
If everyone has the same info - then tactics will be the key to winning a game.
errrrrrrr....
Forget that last statement about tactics. The dice are so full of shit at the moment that tactics, greasemonkey, ownership of territories, blah, blah, blah, - Are all a waste of time. A 3 v 2 dice should give an attacker an advantage. But throw your dice against anyone with 2 or more on the area you're attacking then expect to be raped
