Ok, how about these bonuses:

Tang: +2 for 3
Silla: +1 for 1
Goguryeo: +1 for 2
Baekje: +1 for 3
Gaya: +1 for 2

Now gaya would have higher bonus than baekje, but it wouldn't matter since gaya has so few territories, it would still be weaker in comparison - as baekje has more territories, 2 of which are castles.

Glad to see there's discussion going on about the bonuses. I recently finished my first game on this map (Game 9463911), a quick 1v1 match... I took Qingdao in round 1 and left a 6 to protect the island... deployed 12 in round 2 and took three regions, and deployed 24 in round 3. I'm not sure of the gameplay for multiplayer/team games, but that game wasn't even fun.

I rarely offer a major complaint about a map, but this one is very poorly explained and the colors are very difficult to pick out. I understand you want to go for the "pale" look, but you need to add more color to those junks.. and do something better with that key.
(and please note, this is from someone who plays EVERY map!)

Thanks for the feedback, this is already being addressed.

I like the map, I like the look, but for 2 player games it can sure be over in a hurry.

I know, we're trying to fix that.

I'm going to qualify this as a first impression and not an overall informed opinion. I don't like the fact that my opponent and I were going back and for a few turns (he had first turn) and then in round 4, besides his turn-in he got 11 for holding out of nowhere! Apparently because you take something and its 2 per territory (I don't know how its 11 with the fog) and all of the sudden you get 11 guys and pretty much the game. This spoils system was not at all well conceived. I mean, keep it if you want and eventually I'll learn what's what and not need to bytch. But I just don't think its a natural equilibrium at all.

That's way too much even. Nothing should be more than +1 for 3. I'd go +1 for 4 or 5 whereever possible too.

Okay here's just a flat out glitch:

2011-07-29 04:23:32 - ViperOverLord received -4 troops for holding Wa territory with a Capital
2011-07-29 04:23:32 - ViperOverLord received 1 troops for holding 2 Gaya territories & Bon-Gaya
2011-07-29 04:23:32 - ViperOverLord received 3 troops for 11 regions

I had a turn where I literally was not allowed to deploy. What the hell?!?!?! On top of him getting plus 11 out of nowhere I have to deal with that. This map has plenty of potential I'm guessing but so far its easily the worst conceived beta spoil system I've ever seen. I look forward to a major overhaul.

Yes, we're addressing these things. We're hoping that the increased neutrals + lowered bonuses would help balance the map.

In 'browse maps" it shows the name as Korea. maybe the name can be changed to Three Kingdoms of Korea because modern day Korea is nothing like that.

the map is good
but you need to reorder both of your legends to help players to find bonus area
please follow the right-left top-bottom order

goguryeo
tang
baekje
silla
gaya
wa

also just a personal remark
is it possible to lighten a bit the entire image
it is very dark for my old eyes
De gueules à la tour d'argent ouverte, crénelée de trois pièces, sommée d'un donjon ajouré, crénelé de deux pièces
Gules an open tower silver, crenellated three parts, topped by a apertured turret, crenellated two parts

This may be the most unbalanced map I've ever tried on CC. The tang bonus is an automatic win. If you happen to drop the left island, it's game over. The bonus structure needs a lot of work.

Please, if you have any suggestions on how to fix the bonus structure, then please post. If all you are going to say is that it needs to be fixed, then please don't. Natty knows it needs to be fixed, and is working on it.

Just started my first game on this one and this pretty much sums up how I feel. Haven't played enough to comment on game play.

It's really hard to tell what the WA is. And then if you happen to get a Wa and hold a capital it's minus 4. What is the reasoning for this? It seems like a confusing obstacle. And I'm guessing that the Wa is the two islands at the bottom but I'm not even sure if its just the two or not.

Yes, not sure Natty if you saw my earlier comment on this same bit. I really really have a hard time telling which boats connect where. If you want to keep this washed-out style, maybe change the style of the boats somehow? I think you can still keep with the oriental sea theme and yet allow for some minor changes.. if not basic shapes, then perhaps symbols on the flags or some such?

I have not played it enough to comment on the actual play yet. If I see anything, I will comment once I have played more than 2 games.

I think preserving the style is more important than preserving the faded quality of the map (which is subservient to the style). I think the over all visual theme of the map wouldn't suffer from a slight boost in color though (which I don't think is completely necessary but could be helpful).

I'm in a similar boat where I can't yet comment on the gameplay. I'm only i 1 game at about round 4, but it seems like we've already hit a point where if you don't already have a castle and it's lands you are completely screwed.
