A game option could be added so that players who miss 3 turns are kicked out of the game.
Games where a player repeatedly skips 2 turns and takes a turn are so slow they become boring and other players lose interest. This would give an option to those who don't want to play deadbeats.
I think this suggestion will cause car accidents as people in really long games race home to get their turns in in time.
This has been rejected many times before for this simple reason: sometimes, you can't help but miss a turn. Real life happens, and that's ok. Someone playing that's missed 3 turn in a row is an ultimate nuisance to the game, so they get kicked from that game. Intentional deadbeating is against the rules, and if you suspect someone of foul play, you can simply not play them again.
It also becomes unfair for people in really long games that might have to miss a turn or two over the course of months if the rule is changed.
I really don't mind if this suggestion is archived since when I searched I missed the rejected section.
I understand the problems with eliminating players for missing a certain number of turns. I'm not quite sure if there is a problem eliminating them for missing a large percentage of turns. I'm sure it doesn't happen often, but when it does it can be very annoying.
