Read All Rules Before Signing Up. Signing Up improperly will cause you to not get added to the tournament.
This tournament is a league style doubles tournament. We will be using a 10 round Swiss Bracket and you will not play a team more than once in the swiss bracket. Teams score points for winning games and sets. Each team will need to choose two home maps and the spoils, forts, and fog to use with them. There will be no tiebreaker; each team will just get points. Each round will be played as the previous round finishes. I will leave room for a maximum of 32 teams to sign up but we can play with pretty much any number we get. After the initial 10 rounds are finished, we will then play a round robin style finals with the top 8 teams.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each round consists of 4 doubles games. 2 home games for each team. Settings will vary based on teams choices but all games must be automatic, sequential, and no trench.
Points will be scored in the following manner.
11 Point for a set win.
9.5 Points for a set tie
2 Points for each game won
0 points for a set/game loss.
In the unlikely event that a game goes over 20 rounds, in an effort to keep the tournament moving it will be declared a tie and both teams receive 1 points for that game.

The teams consist of 2 players. There are no score requirements to join but all must be premium members. If a freemium member truly wishes to join then they must commit to keeping all 4 slots open for the entire tournament. They must send me a pm with their commitment to this and I will keep it saved for the duration of the tournament. If I don't feel that you can keep up this commitment I reserve the right to deny your entry. None of the previous applies to the premium members. You also have the option to replace a player 1 time during the course of the tournament. Only 1 substitution is allowed so be sure everyone knows the commitment. My estimate on time would be from 30-40 weeks plus an additional 20-30 weeks for those who make it to the finals
2.- To sign up as a team, you need to provide me with a team name, team abbreviation from 2-5 letters, team Captain and the other team members. Please include the current score of all the team members(Used only for initial seeding). Please use this format:
Code: Select all
Team Name:
Team Abbreviation:
Player A: [Player]name[/Player] - Score (Team Captain)
Player B: [Player]name[/Player] - Score
Total Score -
Failure to use this format will result in not being included in the tournament
3. I will also need your two home maps. Those can be submitted later but if you do please make a new post. Quoting your original is ideal so it's easiest to see the team that goes with it. Please use this format:
Code: Select all
Map 1:
Spoils:
Forts:
Fog:
Map 2:
Spoils:
Forts:
Fog:Failure to use this format will result in having random maps with esc, chained, sunny as your home maps.
4.- If you're an individual and don't have a team set up don't fret. You can still join in the tournament. Priority will be given to fully formed teams but you will be placed on a list of single players and I will either put you with other single players when there are at least 2 on the list. To sign up as an individual player you just need to sign up using this format:
Code: Select all
Team Name:Searching for Team
Single Player: [Player]name[/Player] - Score
Failure to use this format will result in not being included in the tournament
5.- The Captain needs to advise me if the substitution needs to be made for your team, you cannot let a player sign up for games if he or she is not registered with your team.
6.- I reserve the right to deny your teams entry into the tournament if the proper information is not provided upon sign up. Also if you do not provide the scores like I asked, you will either be denied entry or you will not be seeded so you will receive a bottom seed and have to play one of the top seeds from the start. I will NOT look up your scores if they are not provided at the time of sign up.

1.- Once the games for a round are made I will invite all players and send a pm with the game numbers and password(s) to the Captain only. It is his/her responsibility to ensure all his/her teammates accept their invites or make it into the games. If a game is not joined by all players within 48 hours, I reserve the right to cancel the game and count it as a lost game for the team(s) that did not join it. At the very least I will deduct at most 5 points from the teams score and give them an additional 24 hours if no prior arrangements are made. If there is still no attempt at contact within 72 hours there will be no excuses at all, the game will be deleted and the team will receive -5 for each game I had to delete. If a team had a prior offense in the tournament then they will not get the additional 24 hours grace period and will instead receive -10 points for each game deleted. If an entire set is not joined as opposed to a single game, that team also forfeits their previous set as well no matter what the outcome. This penalty is waived if the team captain determines they cannot play that round for whatever circumstances. In such a case, the opposing team wins by forfeit but no penalties are incurred by the forfeiting team. I usually send an invite as a reminder sometime after 24 hours. If 48 hours will not be enough time then I ask that the team Captain sends me a pm letting me know and exceptions may or may not be made at my own discretion.
2. In order to keep things moving along in the finals. There is no extra warning after 48 hours have passed. The entire set is forfeit by the team committing the infraction but the previous set will not be forfeit due to the round robin nature. Extensions may still be granted at my discretion, but unless I am contacted prior to the 48 hours, they will be denied except in extreme circumstances.
3.- When the series is won, posting the results in the forum will help to speed up the tournament. If not it will get checked eventually when I go through the games every few days. To keep things moving as quickly and smoothly as possible, please help me to help you by either posting in this forum or sending me a pm. The winning team's Captain should take care of this, but anyone can.

The team Captains have the following responsibilities:
1.- Sign up your team with the players and, of course, name the Captain.
2.- If a substitution needs to be made, inform me..
3.- Ensure that your team members join the games within the time limit.
4.- Help me out by notifying me of the results of the games a.s.a.p.
5.- In general, ensure that there will be as little delay as possible during this tournament.

1.- All players are to abide by all CC rules during the course of the tournament. If one member of a team breaks the rules substitutions will not be allowed and the entire team will be disqualified.
2.- I reserve the right to deny entry or disqualify any team that does not comply with the rules stated.
3.- I will ask the team Captain to replace a player who demonstrates unsportsmanlike conduct. If it happens more than once then the team will be disqualified.
4.- I will disqualify a team that repeatedly delays the continuation of the tournament.
5.- I reserve the right to take whatever other measure(s) necessary to ensure that the tournament will be played in a fair, fun and timely manner.

As the tournament organizer I reserve the right to make exceptions to any of the above noted rules if it will allow the tournament to run more fairly, smoothly, or just overall better. Arguing with a decision that is made about a matter may result in the disqualification of your team if it gets to the point where the arguing leads to flaming or insulting in any manner. If you have read all these rules please put the Mr. Green smiley at the end of your sign-up post so I know you read all the rules.
