Start multiple games in one go [Rejected]

Post by Blumoki »

When starting your own game, is there any chance we can tick a box so i can start 5/10/15 of the same game all at once, so i dont have to get Repetitive strain injury?

I start all my games once a week and would like to do it in 1 action.

multiple games withsame settings

Post by bonobo`s son »

My idea is when you start a game you can say how many games whith this setting you want to start so you don't have to go for example 5 times to start a game, while hey all have the same settings.

suggestion: how many games drop down.

Post by Dr_Demento »

I've noticed that many people start multiple games of the same type. On the "start game" screen it might be nice to have a "how many of this game do you want to start" drop down with the default being one of course. That way if a person wants to start 10 of the same type of game they can do it all at once instead of in 10 sessions. :D

this has been rejected to avoid people easily creating massive amounts of games at once.

and there is a limit of 50 games awaiting players for any one person.

creating multiple games at once

Create multiple games at once

Concise description: if I wanted to create x amour of certian amount of games instead of repeating the process 5 or six times at the bottom of the game options would be the choices of how many games of that type you want to create. Ex: 1-7

This will improve the following aspects of the site: creating games will become more convient

lack has asked that people do not do this because of the intense server load it can create.

if you want to save time or because it's so redundant and if it's the same game type. When you have the proper settings. just Control+ left click it (to open a new tab), it creates the games and keeps the original setting.

Starting Multiple Games - Same settings

Post by silent sailor »

STARTING MULTIPLE GAMES WITH THE SAME SETTING AT THE SAME TIME

I don't know if this has been suggested before but I know there are a lot of people out there who play the same style of game repetitively. At periods of time they start 10 -15 of the same game with all the same settings. This takes too much time if started all single handedly. It would be a time saver and you could put a limit on how many games you can start. Ex: 20 quickstart games a day or something like that... that way people don't start hundreds of games at a time.

On the start a game page, select your settings and click the create button several times very fast.

Please note that this suggestion has previously been rejected by lackattack.

This rejection is noted in the [Official] Suggestions Box (Lack's 'To-Do' List) sticky thread in Suggestions & Bug Reports. It is listed under the "Rejected, Community & Site" section.
Within the thread concerned, which actually raised two ideas, lack gives his reason for rejection (of both ideas).

creating multiple games with the same settings

Post by blacky44 »

Hi I have been thinking about how many games premium are creating and how long it must take well I say lets have a box on the start game page and premium (or fremium in some cases) can type how many games they want to create.

This will help the site because it would be a lot easier to create multiple games and for tournametn organizers it would be a big help. Take it from one who has organized 8 tournaments.

I'm assuming you mean help with creating multiple games with the same settings. As in you select the settings, then enter the number of games in a box that you want to create with those settings. This would undoubtedly benefit tournament organisers by making it easier to create games and help clan leaders also as well as other players who just like to practice on one map a lot.

Could you do the mods a favour and edit your post and fill it in with the form, makes it easier to see what you're asking for. ;)
